[Lighter and Princess 点燃我，温暖你] Zhu Yun's university life just began, but it was disrupted by the arrival of the bad boy, Li Xun, who overturned her world. Li Xun, who appears like a rebellious good-for-nothing, is actually a programming genius. However, the two of them gradually learn to appreciate each other's talent and knowledge after a few interactions. When senior Fang Zhi Jing tries to pick on Zhu Yun, Li Xun defends her and even invited her to join her programming team. Together, they won the championship of the programming competition. In the process, they fall in love and get together despite the differences in their family circumstances. However, just when their business plan is about to succeed, a life-changing incident occurs. Fang Zhi Jing inadvertently causes Li Xun's sister to get into a car accident, causing Li Xun to hit him out of fury and was sentenced to jail. Zhu Yun refuses to give up on Li Xun, waiting for him to get out of jail and helping Li Xun defeat his business rivals and snatch back his company. Zhu Yun's relentless efforts touched Li Xun, giving him the courage to overcome the pain and open up his heart.

If I'm the FL I won't deal with this heartless ex-bf. He was the cause of her depression when she was abroad. She must be madly in love with him that she degrades herself in front of him. The best she can do is to stay away from him (forever). I wonder why she came back from abroad. The ex-bf isn't worth coming back to. He exchanged her love for him with apathy. So why does she has to humble herself to him?

She knew the world wasn’t fair to him and knew how bruised and broken he was and she loves him unconditionally knowing very well that she was the only one for him. It’s hard but the choice was hers.

I totally agree!! It's definitely a common thing with an istp x enfj pairing. li xun is a dismissive avoidant while zhu Yun has anxious attachment. I realised that throughout the drama, it seems like she's always the one chasing him while he pulls away. Li xun is severely emotionally constipated. In many scenes where zhu Yun asks for open communication, he literally tells her that being honest is a bad thing, which was so frustrating to watch. I understand that it's hard for him to open up due to his personality, but he could at least try(?) The worst thing is he said that to her even after knowing that she has severe anxiety cos of him, which makes me wonder how much he really loves her... The way I see it, li xun prioritises himself over anybody. While I do acknowledge he made certain sacrifices for her along the way, I find it difficult to empathise with him. He's selfish and arrogant. Honestly, I can see the allure of this pair, like "you're the only one for me" , and "it's us against the world." But unless lixun fixed his emotional constipation and avoidancy, they would likely still run into the same problems in the future, and then the on and off thing between them would keep going on... Which is just so toxic 💀💀💀 Before anyone comes at me, YES I watched the entire drama and I know the beginning and ending.

Don't agree that Li Xun is cold and heartless towards Zhu Yun. He just doesn't know how to handle his feelings. He's a gruff macho man.

The one thing I dislike about Chinese and Japanese shows is their treatment of the female leads, it’s so entrenched in patriarchy that I lose all sense of empathy or respect for both ML and FL and just feel apathy, if not disgust.

Yes, it's a common thing that happens , but not all Asian dramas are like that. Go check out "meet yourself" starring liu yi fei and li Xian. Toxic free drama that's really positive and the male lead definitely respects her.

I *LOVE* all of the monster movies... some are not the best, but it still helps give a sense of adventure. I think that it would be great if there were minster movies with like giant bugs, like giant praying mantises, and giant ants, and giant spiders, and giant hornets, things like that, just going from building to building seeing some creepy-crawly at every turn, and fighting to get through. Things like that.
