i saw this video on tiktok ( www.tiktok.com/@hwangyeahjii/video/7037146044806728987 ) and decided to add some details into it, the credits go to @hwangyeahjii on tiktok who noticed it and created the video
Itzy is known popular for their professional performances, Lia a main vocal never trained as a main dancer, but still handled it with utter carefulness and kept on dancing like nothing happened. Poor baby got nervous but proud of her for getting back on track immediately
@@idklol5925 Because being mainly a vocalist and suddenly having to train to be as good in dancing too is not really easy, and she is amazing for being able to improve her dance and train to be as good as the others
I don't think some of yall understand how hard that is, she basically continued the performance without being able to hear almost anything, neither her own voice, AND SHE SLAYED
They're prerecorded vocals Edit: you can see Lia doesn't open her mouth enough the sing end of the word "control", but it still comes out loud and clear. So it's prerecorded.
@@hola542 they aren't. But even if they were the in ear would help her lip sync on time. But they weren't Edit: In reply to your edit. If you look up other live performances. Actually live she opens her mouth the same. Either way she was on time though
lia be like “no in-ear monitor? oh you know just main vocal things” 💁🏻♀️ might’ve missed a couple of beats dancing but her singing was still very on point 💯
A lot of people would criticize Lia for not being as great dancer as her members, but only few will realize how hard working she is just to be on the same level as them or, at least, keep up with their pace. She may not be as good as her other members but you cannot deny her perseverance, her efforts, and her resilience against all the hate she receives. I am just proud on how Lia managed to continue despite her in-ear malfunction. That's professionalism! And that makes her a great performer. Lots of love for Lia! Fighting!!!
A++++++++ to Lia for continuing to perform despite not having her in-ear monitor. She didn’t stop to fiddle with it, she didn’t run off stage to get it fixed. She just kept going. Now, I’m not a girl group stan, nor will I ever be. But good on her.
Almost no one understands that Lia was not trained in that special way to be a main dancer, but JYP paid the most attention to her vocal, but she certainly did it perfectly :) STAN ITZY STAN TALENT !!
It's actually pretty hard to maintain the same notes while singing and maintain everything the exact tempo without those, you can see that it doesn't sound as it should and then yeah, the part where she messes the choreo, haha well this things happen 🤷♂️ no one's fault
Great singers do not need in-ear monitors to sing. It is typically used to reduce any damage from loud speakers and various instruments. Way to go Lia! *Edited* I understand how the in-ear speakers work considering I work where we do impressions of the devices. Besides the technical reasons provided below, please don't forget that prolonged exposure to noise will result in some level of hearing loss.
Um... With audience screaming and music blaring, you need to keep hearing yourself and the metronome is also heard through the in-ear. That's also why they are VERY important.
Not true, in-ear has the metronome, recorded voices that signal where a particular part starts and also you can use them as monitor for the voice, or you wouldn't be able to hear yourself. All singers and musicians use that, if they don't is because they have monitor speakers pointed towards them
Do not offend Lia, she dances very well, it doesn’t matter to her, it’s important that sings and dances well, we understand Lia nothing happened💣💥👍💪🔥💯💯💯💯💯💯💖🤩😍Itzy
Still very unnoticeable and small details, unless people mention, close up and slow down wouldn't know :). For the miss beat, she was pretty on point for me 🤣. Comparing to western singers in choreography, Korean idols are like robot so precise, full energy and charisma.
I don’t see why ppl are amazing that she threw a necklace away when it fell and I definitely don’t see what’s to be amazed by her being a professional, she’s a professional singer and dancer of she’s gonna be professional, especially since she’s performing. She’s not a queen that, ppl these days get amazed by everything
thats bc you dont know what it feels like to not hear ur own voice when singing on stage without an in ear monitor. shes not main dancer but she managed to not fk up the dance too much. the in ear monitor also gives the person wearing it the tempo, some pre recorded vocals so shes not off pitch. she didn't have that. its so easy for you to say its normal and not that important ab lia, but when it comes to ur less talented favs u start worshipping them like a god.
Its a mix of the instrumental with ticking sounds so the idols stay on beat. And sometimes theres also a voice that says things like 'post-chorus 3 2 1' you can adjust the volume and everthing
It’s basically a bluetooth earbud made specifically in the shape of the singer’s ear to be comfortable and sound isolating. What they hear is the song and a metronome to stay on the beat. You might also hear other things, such as backing vocals and a vocal guide saying which section of the song is coming up. This in-ear monitor mix can change based on who makes it for you and sometimes the singers themselves can state preferences in what they would like to hear exactly.
In the large auditoriums that K-pop stars perform in, the sound can be very distant and hard to hear, making it hard for them to sing properly. So they wear ear pieces that play the background of the song clearly so they know when to come in and can stay on pitch. They also block out distracting noises from the outside (the echoes and fan’s screams) so they can concentrate better. Sometimes, stars decorate these ear pieces to match their outfit, song, or group She was unable to hear her voice but she still sang it correctly... Hope it helps :)
@@H1J1R1LV3R I just wonder. First I was gona write: An artist that can actually perform her own song and everyone is like WOOOWW how impressive. But than I thought maybe she has some kind of disability like being deaf and she needs that in-ear thing to be able to hear. So that's why I ask. I don't know these girls..
@@Dani-it5sy you need you're in ear to perform, if you don't have an inear, then you can't hear you're voice but only the music while singing and you can have a voice crack, Because you don't know which note you're hitting, so most singers (mostly all) all use in ears to help, if lia , the girl in the video had a voice crack, people will start criticizing her and say disgusting stuff since they've already been doing it since she debuted, I hope this clears the misunderstanding :)
i guess she needs to be a bit more professional, this kind of accident happens all the time. their job is to make it look like nothing happened, which we've seen many idols done before. but you can see how nervous she was and missing a couple of beats and stuff, making her stand out even more. They are not a rookie group anymore so hopefully if something like this happens again, she would have learned how to handle it better.
Dancing AND singing without an ear monitor is really hard. She probably panicked because it makes it a lot harder for them. The idols who look calm when their monitor is falling, is because they're lipsyncing.
...hey heres an idea how about YOU sing and dance while your necklace is falling off and hitting your clothes and your in ear aka one of your most important performance equipment is falling off too. Lia handled it wayyy better than she would've been expected to, she did it in a dance section where she normally doesn't get center focus.
Honey..in-ear monitors are VERY important when preforming. Without it, you basically can’t hear anything. Ofc she was nervous and missing a couple of beats, she couldn’t hear the fucking song🤡 She was very professional, she continued to dance/sing without fiddling with it, without stopping to fix it. She just kept on going.
if an idol is unbothered by their ear monitor falling down it's because their are not singing live. sorry to burst your bubble. itzy does sing live so they do need their monitors
