Just because Thomas feels like a woman does not mean others should have to play along and pretend he is a woman. Laws should not be passed to force all of us to accept his delusion. If I feel like a god inside, that does not mean laws should be passed that everyone should bow down to me as I pass them on the street. There may be a very, very few people that say they agree with this real woman that Thomas is a woman, but hardly anyone is willing to do this for the sake of Thomas' feelings. Don’t get me started on the Lia Thomas scandal. All I will say on the matter is, when a seemingly small detail such as shaving your legs (in the interest of hydrodynamics) could be the difference between first and second place - don’t even attempt to suggest that a trans woman would not present physiological advantages such as: overall larger body size, more skeletal muscles, higher muscle strength and power, lower body fat, and greater maximal anaerobic/ aerobic energy delivery. Biological post-pubescent males typically have, on average, 36% more muscle mass than their female counterparts - particularly relevant in events which require robust upper body strength (such as swimming). Longitudinal studies now confirm that, despite HRT decreasing volumes in muscle cross-sectional areas, lean body mass and strength after 12-36 months of hormone therapy, these values still remain higher than that in biological women. People don’t understand the level of sacrifice female athletes have to go through. It’s also ironic that we don’t see the same domination from trans men competing in male categories - probably because they have the physique of a woman…! Women are not little men who lack penises, and their slower times in sporting events do not serve as evidence of mediocrity. Female bodies work differently to males, which is why the separate categories started in the first place. Women’s sport is not a safety net for failed male athletes. When you look at Lia, you do not see the body of a woman. Why is that a moral judgement instead of a statement of fact?! If Lia competes at the olympics, no one will want to watch the event - nor compete against them. The likes of Lia Thomas have set trans rights back 50 years which is really sad, as I have trans friends - but they all stand firm with my position on protecting women’s sports.

The one question you did not ask Pierce, was whether or not this female had ever competed in any highly competitive sport. It sounds to me like she has not. I come from an extremely strong Sports background, and I can tell you, if Lia Thomas had competed against me I would have had a blue fit. And to insist a trans woman is XX chromosome is quite frankly ignorance at its best.
