i remember downloading this song for free on iTunes like in '07, it was the single of the week, and i remember because my very first girlfriend of 3 years broke up with me, and i just got stuck listening to this song over and over, and still do lol
" It gives me the feeling of love, romance! I figure right now the world needs to come into music, singing, you've got beautiful music here! Beautiful, oh lovely! I feel band of love, of dream. The Lord came to me made me holy, I'm a holy man. So he gave me these sounds." HENRY
This song hits very hard after you lose the person you took granted for and both you and her were at fault. But now you still want her, despite knowing its not gonna happen and you won't really be happy with her. No choice but moving on. No second chances really for a messed up relationship. Simply amazing. Commenting here after 3 years. That how much it lasted guys.
Saw Liam live in NZ - playing in a church. FANTASTIC show. Huge energy. Since bought the album & using Second Chance as a ringtone. Hits a chord with me! Cool video.
I freaked out when I saw him on Letterman. The coolest performance I have seen in a long time. He is an "approachable" version of the shins. The next morning I found this video and it's now my 2 year olds favorite video as well. I can't wait for more.
Sew the seeds Sew the seeds to life by packing up to make it right And all I need All I need to know Are you too proud to let it go? Remember me Well honestly I don't remember who you are So it seems And so it seems tonight, you've got that wild look in your eye What do you need What do you need to prove? The woman that you turn into Remember me Well honestly I don't remember who you are The memory has never been the best, you want a second chance You stand around your haunted home Those demons won't leave you alone Don't forget me when you grow old Remember me Well honestly I don't remember who you are Remember me Well honestly I don't remember who you are The memory has never been the best, you want a second chance You stand around your haunted home Those demons won't leave you alone Don't forget me when you grow old Rememember remember 18,726
I'm a big Crowded House fan, and Liam is in good shape to follow in his fathers footsteps. This is a great song, with a superb beat, similar to RHCP's On Mercury
Same worries different gig :P At Newcastle I feared The Black Keys couldn't live up to his performance, it was so mind blowing. Will definitely see him again. Very good live.
Well done Liam this really is a great song with good lyrics, feeling and moving qualities. Loving the video too, good to see some of the beauty of our homeland expressed in your own way ^^
like him... liked his father and Crowded House too... and was excited to see he was playing with Eddie Vedder on a short tour. Hope to see more of this guy here... but given the tastes of radio in my home country these days.. I am not holding my breath
heard this song at a big lots... had to sit their and just repeat a few lyrics to myself to a little bit so I wouldn't forget. thought I wasn't going to be able to find it, because of google. but I did find it... so happy :D
This is a great song! It reminds me of Locked Out(Crowded House)and Part of me Part of You(Finn Brothers?) (a friend stated this to me today, and i agree with her) Great vid, great song!
I absolutely love this song. So talented! The really sad thing though is that I remember when he was born! I was only a kid myself then though! How sad! :/
Music gives me the feeling of love and romance. I figure right now the world needs to come into music... singing. You've got beautiful music here. Beautiful. Oh, lovely. And I feel the band of love and dreams. The Lord came to me and he made me holy. I'm a holy man so he gave me these sounds.
Wow.....what a talented family....I remember interviewing Neil back in the 90's and him referring to his kids...didn't say anything abou them being just as skilled..
Man! He's soooo much like his Uncle Tim in so many ways! He opened for CH in Chicago this past weekend and played w/the band...he was great! Good job, Neil and Sharon!
God this song is so beautiful. First heard 12 years ago at 14, not really knowing how much the lyrics would resonate with me at 20-26. Still makes me ball my fucking eyes out. Same goes for "Better to Be". Love y'all.
I saw The Black Keys at Brixton Academy last wednesday and he was opening for them along with another band. The other band was crap, but Liam was amazing. As has been mentioned, he absolutely slaughtered the drumkit, it was mindblowing when he played it. He's a rilliant musician, showman and performer. he was really amazingly good and I too was worried that the Black keys wouldn't be able to follow such a good performance. I would've bought tickets if it was a shared gig between him and TBK
there's a game with his name called "i will be lightning" and lot of his music is played there. i've never heard of him before but his music is really awesome, this guy is very talented.
We saw him at the Beacon Theater on 8/9/07!!!!HFS Didnt recognize him at first w the beard an all. Blew the roof off, gonna buy the vinyl w the cd!!! Elroy Finn, what can you offer?????
