I was a Noel guy for decades. But I’ve come to really love Liam. He’s gotten older and wiser. And he’s gained something I didn’t think any of the Gallagher brothers would gain; humility.
Yeah, but the version he does in the Rockfield studio on this programme, is better than the one he's officially recorded & released... Don't you agree or, not ?.. Which one do you prefer ?.. I agree that it's one of his best solo songs though, definitely.... 🎤🎵🎶😎
Liam's current voice fits great to sing Gas Panic! live again after so many years. Hope he remember that one to play on his gig Very happy he is taking into account D' You Know What I Mean after 25 years. Its one of my favourites too.
I hope someday my dad and I can get to a place where we call each other dickheads all day :D This is marvelous, thank you for the upload!! They're all having a good time, love it
“ More Power” at Knebworth. was an iconic moment when the crowd turned phone torches on Liam said “brilliant” and it was “beautiful “ my favourite moment
so much respect for Liam, he lived/lives a wild life but owns it, the love he has for people and his family shines through this treasure, he's hilarious and profound... keep it up!
I'm not nostalgic for Oasis. Saw them a bunch. But fuck me this gig is going to be epic. His new tunes are unreal. And the Oasis songs are going to be biblical
I love the way he holds the note like he used to in the 90’s, that famous Sun-shee-ine way he sings, he stopped doing it for a long while because his voice wasn’t holding up, amazing to see him back to singing like this again, probably the best he’s sounded since the late 90s
Rockfield is legendary and all legends have recorded there. The locals are used to it. Oasis and other bands spent a lot of time in the local, it’s not a big deal in Wales, you’d be surprised who hangs around theses parts 😉 Stay free !
Noel's choice of notes has always been interesting tho the chord patterns are simple. For DYKWIM there's plenty of bluesy flavor in the verse notes that makes it sound super cool and sneery. Plus the guitar solo simple as it is but theres a lot of attitude to it and super emotive. You cant do that by putting two and two together it's mostly an instinct thing...
Of course it's great to see DYKWIM being played, and the new songs are great, but man I had not listened to The River in quite a while and that sounded AWESOME.
It sounds a thousand times better here played live than on the record. The mix and production on the album version is very poor, particularly on the instruments. His voice has been mixed high and sounds good but the instruments sound muddy and not as clear and loud as they should be.
it's easy to criticize but i think it's a trend via the internet and when it comes right down to it, this guy is a legend, he's back, he's playing Knebworth aged 50 and he has a few good years in him yet ( get well soon bonehead and join liam where you belong)
I’ve had the pleasure of meeting the man and he was a fuckin Gent! He went behind the bar to get a pen to sign a PG bag for my female friend an all as she was brickin it. “Don’t worry about it babe”. This was beady eye days. Gave everyone time and courtesy. Legend.
Liams so cool it must be hard for his kids to be like right how do I do what I want to (musically or not) without people constantly comparing! Can’t wait for Knebworth Friday. Going to be BIBLICAL
