I've never heard Guigsy speak.. its a fuckin revelation. It just confirms that every single bloke in the band. Was cool as fuck. Guigsy. You're a fucking legend mate.
@@SiggiSegelfahrer yeah he comes across as a bit of a bully and a shitebag but im sure its a far more nuanced and complex situation than that books made out. Shame for Tony tho regardless.
@@elfranco7011 what's the deal? Maybe I really gotta check out that book. I love Tony - I don't think he was a dick as much as noel thought he was just because he stood up for himself
5.53 mins "Ah've never 'eard of Nirvana or whatever they're called, except for the one that's just recently gone" (Cobain) Priceless comment from a man who is still on top of his game nearly 30 years later💪
The coolest band in the world , not my favourite band , one of my favourites, but no one was as effortlessly cool as oasis. Other bands tried so hard to be cool but they’ll never be oasis . The heart of council estate Britain.
I love the fact that Liam is only 23 here coming from council estates in Manchester but he doesn’t over act he just says what he feels like it’s pretty cool to be successful and all that but stay cool Feet on the ground but at the same time that healthy arrogance coming from who kind knew he was going to happen Liam is an icon whether people like it or not I’ve spoken to him outside a pub in London and he was like talking with one of my close friends Cool as fuck
@@user-oh7iv3ij5x Shite front man compared to Adam Duritz of Countinv Crows. Adam owns the stage, dances, uses his handsLjam stands still. How is THAT a front man?
I saw Oasis on the day they found Kurt Cobains body (the Friday before Supersonic came out) and he dedicated Live Forever to "him out of Nirvana who's dead", which was how i found out
They were talking about 2 different gigs at the start. Boardwalk was their first ever gig which was in Manchester but after, the travelling 400 miles to be told they couldn't play, happened in King Tut's Wah Wah Hut in Glasgow which was where they signed with Alan McGhee of Creation Records after he watched their gig.
There's a fair amount of sniffing as well. And several times it's that throat sniff as well. Coke kind of has this run down the back of the throat that makes you do that.
In the interview don’t make bands enemies they sing what they think, nirvana oasis that’s defined. They sing what they think, they play music they make. But i am sure Liam Gallagher has his eye brows done since then.
24 years an Oasis fan, and this is genuinely the first time I've heard Guigsy speak I expected him for some reason to have more of a clearer Noel/Bonehead Manchester accent but it's way more Liam
@@vulnerableporbeagle2611 There & Then is a combination of two separate but equally excellent gigs, with just a few interview clips here and there. It's mostly live music, and the sound is mixed by Owen Morris, the same engineer who worked on all their '90s albums, so the sound quality is much better than in the Knebworth documentary.
It's good to see him speak (Guigs). I'm simultaenously shocked that he's giving it the attitude, but also quite taken aback at how obvious it is looking at him that he could be prone to nervous breakdown. Really interesting. Although Liam seems like he's fighting off some mental demon too here.
@@tomgreenfan I suppose we are! That's actually hilarious when you think about it. The whole species, born with brains that want to ruin them. Or maybe I'm just a sick bastard.
It wasn’t actually Nirvana, the lawsuit they were referring to was from Neil Innes’s legal team regarding Oasis’s song “Whatever” as Liam mentions. If you listen to 0:13 of his song “How sweet to be an idiot” it’s literally the identical melody lol. And yeah idk why the journalist said Nirvana, probs got the wrong info and the band didn’t really know who was suing them except for that it was for “Whatever” as they probs had management handling it all as they toured.
@@jackcole1331 Only the first chord G is the same. The first line of chords of Whatever are G Dsus4/F# Em7 Dsus4 and chords of Idiot are G Bm/F# Em Em7/D and second line are totally different. The first line of melody does sound the same melody but the second is totally different. If I were to give a percentage similarity based on first 2 lines I would give 10%.
He s well chuffed (excited)being there in the USA touring, they all were, where rock and rolll started, they do like more USA bands than they said. They`re just not letting on as much in that interview, very non chalant
