Can we appreciate two Oasis members are on stage singing a song co written by a Nirvana member!! It's like the 90's top bands collided on this track somehow. If this isn't a massive hit there is something very wrong with the world.
No way Liam could have even attempted to sing this one live during the dark days let alone do it justice. Extremely hard song to sing, especially the chorus. Comeback has been phenomenal.
Totally agree. Some won't let go of the notion that Oasis will re-unite. I wouldn't go TBH. You can't relive the past. It just would be a sham and not heart felt and honest. Long live RKID!
Without a doubt, a new Oasis reunion would make no sense! Liam and Noel's fantastic solo careers just got too big for Oasis today! Each in their own style, they are formidable!
@@matteodallacasa4014 this is how he was sounding before the breakup..can't hold his top register..honestly live performances from his last album were much better.
Liam Gallagher has made the greatest comeback in history, kept the old oasis fans of course and then gained a whole new generation of young kids. As you were Liam !
The man is a legend, he alone got the Brits the majority of its views, I watched it up until LG then it went straight off, I recon a lot of people did the same! LIVE FOREVER MAN
This song is so hard (high notes + breathly difficult) but he sounds greeeaaat! Mention for the high "you thought I wouldn't know" and his very cool diction of "su-per-fi-cial". Can't wait for the gigs!
People give beady eye a lot of stick. Maybe live, Liam wasn’t at his best at that time. But the recordings on the studio albums… some of those songs are his strongest vocals imo. Such as soul love, I’m just saying, four letter word, kill for a dream etc
Honestly i never thought Liams solo career would be favorable to Noel's in my opinion. Wow. Just spectacular. Don't get me wrong Noel and the High fying birds are dope but Liam is on FIREEE
Liam is just pure rock and roll. No training, no school, the ups and downs of the streets of manchester, drugs - and everything that comes along with it, observing life as an outsider of society, laughing, fighting. I love LG. Yelling is probably his best training. He’s as genuine in as they come. You can learn the technical stuff, but you can’t learn rock and roll from a teacher. You have to live it, and then write and/or sing about it.
Now THAT's how you enter a stage.... The REAL star of the Brits right here.... Legend. Just listen to the reception... Every bloke in there wanted to be Liam last night...
Well done, just shows how age has made him aware of actually caring about his voice and performance (as per the radio x interview) sounds bang on to me, but more impressed by Paul on stage on rhythm, warms my heart to see that love still alive, mates in bands become brothers, or enemies, its down to the individuals. 👍🏻 ❤️💪🏻
put it this way u think any other artist u saw last night will be singing in 25 years on the brits doubt it,, it took balls to take that song on and not many artists would mime it don't think it will last on tour tbh but respect for the effort 💯 %
Surprisingly good. His singing style always was more half shouting/talking than actual singing though. Works well if he has the correct song for his voice. Pity his song writing brother has let things slide so much in his own solo career. It is like he stop caring.
@@dannybirch5117 actually he sings significantly better in comparison to oasis from like 02- to the end. Beady eye was good, but not the best. I just hope he takes care of his vocals. He NEEDS to stop smoking!
The output that a singer has to put out during a live show to contend with the rest of the band and the loud crowd vs in the studio recording just the vocals in a booth is quite significant. Wish there was a better way for singers to do it live so they don't have to stress their vocal chords so much, but hey, it's rock n roll. Sometimes people have to make sacrifices to get their voices heard.
I felt like the title and theme may have also doubled as a reference to the current trend in music of favouring electronic beats over live instrumentation
@@humanchannel7825 So do I, synths can be great if you keep the rest of it real but these recycled beats with the same structure, same boring melody, muttered vocals is just tiresome and very rarely done well. That’s why it sounds so subpar compared to older music from when musicians would play on the tracks. I know there was people in the room that night feeling directly attacked by that 🤣
Fuck man, I love this song. It’s been on repeat for hours already. Dave Grohl and Liam Gallagher, how can you go wrong with that??? When are we getting them both on stage performing this?
maaaaaan !! this live version gives an idea of what "c'mon you know" will sound like ! it will be enormous ! thanks liam for being such a great man in rock n roll ♥
A geezer from the 90s still headlining the Brits 25years after his peak , don't know if that's a good thing or bad thing but still relevant amoung very mediocre music of today, thank God Liam and Noel are still smashing it 👌 just hope he inspires some youngsters to pick up a guitar and form a band to keep rock and roll alive
Maybe take a listen to The Sherlocks who just released "World I Understand" a couple of weeks ago - it opened @ #9 in the charts - this was on their own label after exciting the previous. Their 2nd top 10! 🤩 ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-01jM2i-01N0.html
@@kazd3256 I've never heard of them and that's the problem, if they were any good I'd of already of heard of them . But I will go and find some of their music and have a listen
@@kazd3256 yeh there not bad , if I were a teenager again I'd be into them, going to their gigs ,not in the same league as oasis or alot of the bands from that era but their keeping guitar music alive and I like that
Intro was honestly biblical. He nailed it other than a few high notes and ran out of breathe. More of a studio song in my opinion but sounds great! Good to have rock n roll back
For me the 2 biggest living icons of rock , Liam and Dave! What a duo!! If the 2 of them got on to a stage together, that would be too much to handle. Love you both from South Africa 🇿🇦 🇬🇧🇺🇲
@Dave Carpenter because everything about Liam is rock n roll, if you don't like that fact suck it up and get your lugs around Adeles new stuff and keep out if it, rock n roll lives on 🖕
What an entrance that's our kid like always Liam arrives in style and performs with all his heart and soul. Love you lots Liam from Denise in the UK 🇬🇧 ❤️ ❤️❤️❤️🤗🤗XXXX
LG IS BACK!!! AMAZING! FINALLY A PROPER SINGER! The man is in his own class of singers. Nobody and I mean nobody can come close to his amazing style and voice!!
The lighting for this set is OUT OF THIS WORLD, we know you cannot bend projected light, so how on earth did they produce those rippling ribbons of delight. I suspect a mix of projected images onto a semi invisible screen between the audience and the stage . . . . but hey ho I am just a mortal. The lighting designer/engineer is my hero.
@@TheFreddy319 Top Man, exactly what I was looking for. After more digging I did figure out that Rolling Shutter was the way it happened after I realised the same effect that Rolling Shutters have on such things as prop blades etc., but I only found your vid link today and it now explains it perfectly. It must be the first time I was glad to have seen a gig on TV instead of at the live event. Awesome, thanks for that.
Liam now sounding more trustworthy musically than Noel. Noel doing it only for the money not knowing what else he could be doing, while Liam doing it from the bottom of his rnr heart and then it generates the money. Come on Liam!! Give us more!!
Noel is a genius songwriter BUT Liam's CHARISMA is legendary! Charisma wins everytime in music or in life! 90s (1994-1997) rock is alive and well! Thanks Liam and his whole crew!
So glad Liam is back and getting on with things. This song is great, love the groove, love the lyrics. Man this guy is just to talented to sit back doing very little musically. Huge respect for Noel as well, he's my favourite musician of the 90's. Don't care if Oasis never make a reunion happen as long as these guys keep writing and making great rock music my ears will be very happy. Never stop fellas please we need you.
