Say what you want about Liam Gallagher 'the person' but when he was at the top of his game, like he is here, no other rock singer could touch him in his hay day. Awesome vocal
Leo Pulvirenti he has his faults but the guy is honest doesnt hold anything back.you could never call him a hypocrite.plus he has a lot if time for the fans
Obviously you haven't seen Richard Ashcroft live. Liam`s a showman. Ashcroft`s a proper frontman. Anyway Freddie Mercury is probably greatest frontman of all time. Even thou many don't give Freddie Mercury his credit as he was gay. I`m pretty sure Liam would be shitting bricks if he was in the same room as Freddie Mercury.
Makki Zakki - taking nothing away from Freddie, he was an outstanding talent in his own right, but he was more of a showman style frontman, Liam just had that classic rock voice that just commands attention, although these days his voice doesn’t seem what it used to be unfortunately.
@@hemiheritage extremely jealous! Never got to see Oasis and probably never will. Imagine the music scene without Oasis. Imagine Oasis without Liam.. Imagine a world without either!? It would be a different place that's for sure.
Quite possibly Liam's best vocal. Raw and unassuming. He's played some blinders in his day. Even present day he's still smashing it (Chinatown) only gimps will disagree.
+Genevieve Schorr Noel put down in an interview he thinks The Beach Boys are rubbish. Hillarius! What an idiot! The Beatles idolized The Beach Boys and Brian Wilson. They changed the face of recording and harmonies. This version of the song is Rubbish!
What did I post that was so obvious. That Noel can't play guitar? Or the ridiculous thing he said"The Beach Boys Are Rubbish. Ever heard of Pet Sounds? Paul Weller rules! Sent from my iPhone
@@jaydenullah The song was given to Paul by Lucifer, that's the whole point of the song. All these stars are getting their material from the fallen stars aided by demonic entities. You can't deny it friend, you heard him say it with his own words. He said is "porper Lucifer." Liam knows what he's saying because he sold his soul to the devil to get famous. They're all queers too and you can find pictures of Noel and Liam Kissing along with kissing other artists like Bono of U2 another freemasons devil worshipper. They're job is to distract humanity while the devil worshipping politici9ans turn every city into a smart city prison system. They act was gatekeepers turning men away from Christ. They see people like you as dumb and easily led astray. They all practice Crowley sex magic performing sodomy on one another and also child sacrifice. These people are very evil and you don't know what goes on behind closed doors. The Beatles has Alester Crowley the Satanist on the cover of their Srg Pepper album. The Rolling Stones bought out an album called Her Magesties Satanic Request and a single called Sympathy for the Devil. The Beatles even had a cover of dismembered baby infants while they wore bloodied butchers garments. They torture and murder innocent babies to get fame, fortune and power. They just look at us as simple peasants who they want to control while they live up on the hill like Kings as they look down on us the peasants below.
What an absolute fucking breathtaking vocal from Liam, utterly priceless jamming clip, classic old Jam song, lovely harmonies from the criminally underated Craddock and the jobbing keyboard player aint bad too.
Alan White (ex-Oasis Drummer)'s brother Steve on drums here. He is a BEAST! He sat in with Oasis a few times as well when his brother was ill. He killed it!
This tune in particular is the reason why the likes of Dave Grohl and dozens of others in the industry lament LG as the vocalist of his generation. Not too mention his stage and frontman presence. The guy is a legend.
@eternallyredeemedbythebloo5112 what are you even on about champ? I was simply pointing out that just like an "actor's actor, LG is a frontman for all time! Deal with it I guess
The transcendent quality of the material forces Liam to raise his game to it's highest level. Not sure he ever matched this performance, before or since.
I love it when Oasis covers The Beatles and The Jam, the bands that influenced them a great deal, and generally when they all collaborate with eachother. I'm a fan of all these bands, Beatles, The Who, the Kinks, The Jam, Oasis. Weller and Liam G are among my favorite vocalists. There's something edgy and cool in their voices that really hooks me!
we listen to this version all the time, Liam’s vocals are unworldly to me, round the time of Lets all make believe where he sounds equally class. Brilliant, cant knock him. And Id love to be as high as steve craddock was haha good stuff 💪🏻
If you gave me a fresh carnation I would only crush its tender petals With me you'll have no escape And at the same time there'll be nowhere to settle - I trample down all life in my wake I eat it up and take the cake I just avert my eyes to the pain Of someone's loss helping my gain If you gave me a dream for my pocket You'd be plugging in the wrong socket With me there's no room for the future With me there's no room with a view at all - I am out of season all year 'round Hear machinery roar to my empty sound Touch my heart and feel winter Hold my hand and be doomed forever - If you gave me a fresh carnation I would only crush its tender petals With me you'll have no escape And at the same time there'll be nowhere to settle. And if you're wondering by now who I am Look no further than the mirror - Because I am the Greed and Fear And every ounce of Hate in you
Good song, excellent performance, and one of the best covers oasis that has never touched, Liam's voice is beautiful in this video, hopefully improved lately because his voice is no longer before, greetings from Peru, mad fer its around the world!!!
i have to agree man this is the bollocks!! liam and cradock should do an album!! liams ace voice and cradocks legendary guitar playing!!! that would be a monumental record!!!
one of the best covers oasis will ever do, and im a big big oasis fan, liams voice is mint in this and i agree cant fault a thing, i herd this song along time ago, and it still sounds as good as when i first herd it,
This song brings back so many memories. The last Jam tour I went with my 3 sisters to see them at Wembley. We had excellent seats in with the press. We were up and singing all their songs dancing and going mad. Weller said 'this is for the girls dancing in the press pit' then sang carnation....we were crying our eyes out. Ahh the memories. This is an excellent version but lacks some of the edge that the Jam had originally.
A vocal take of Liam this good in the last few years of the 90's was rare. Few instances where his actual early 90's voice and control shine through. Glad Liam did this one.
He was actually very up and down in the late 90s. I, incorrectly, for ages thought he just tailed off after ‘97 but he didn’t. If his voice got a decent break after a tour, his vocals would come back and would be great.
One of my (personal) fav vids on here. A mix of guys in the music bizz who got together in a day, couple of hours and did this. Credit and been there, not easy and great melodic tune. liam done good. Noel you still got marching powder showing lol.
