Shocked fans have been gathering outside the Buenos Aires hotel where former One Direction star Liam Payne has died after falling from a balcony.

His family says they are heartbroken, and will remember him for "his kind, funny and brave soul".
The 31-year-old singer shot to global fame with the boy band when he was just 16 and had previously spoken about problems with alcohol.

@Hemma-mm never said they didn't. That was a weird way to take that comment. Why would you assume it meant that non famous didn't have issues. The comment pointed out that statistically famous people, especially young famous people, have higher rates of mental health, addiction, and other issues. The consequences also tend to escalate quicker. I spent 6 months on a mental health ward in the past, and I'm very well aware non famous people can have issues too.

The manager said that he had called before. It was the same night, he passed out in the lobby and they helped him to his bedroom. There he woke up and started being aggresive, and they called.

He took himself there and either jumped or fell while going berserk and wrecking his hotel room while in a drug induced state the hotel staff mention carrying him to his room as he was incapable and there is mention in the recorded emergency call of him going in and out of consciousness so yes an ambulance was the right call but he was dead before it got there .

Not just drugs but mental health issues he was like this for years and eventually you're going to burn out and it's looking like he jumped according to some news outlets but I really hope it was an accident for the sake of his family and son.
