The band was destined to be with MelB, MelB, Geri, Emma and Victoria. It wouldn’t been the same without them. Each of them were needed to make the most iconic girl band of all time.
Destined? Nothing is destined. It would have been interesting to see someone else replace Victoria. She didn't sing much, and she was uncomfortable performing live. That's all quite visible when you watch them, even in music videos. I would like to see them with someone who had a great voice and really enjoyed the experience.
What I read is that only Mel B who actually secured her place in the line up. At that time, it was Mel B, Lianne Morgan, Suzanne Tinker (supposedly), Melanie Laccohee (now Coloma), and Michelle Stephenson who were chosen in the final line-up. Almost immediately, VB replaced Melanie Laccohee because the management felt she should be a solo singer, then Suzanne Tinker missed the final stage of audition due to bomb scare in London tube hence her removal and inclusion of Geri. Lianne was replaced by Mel C as the reason she stated in the video, finally Michelle Stephenson was initially replaced by Abigail Kis but wanted to spend more time with her bf at that time instead, so Pepi Lemer recommend Emma.
They were perfect for each other and you realize that through these interviews to the other ladies that auditioned. The chemistry they had was something that only happens once.
I absolutely agree. I would have loved hearing her take on it and how she felt at the time and what she‘s up to nowadays Oh and it would‘ve been nice to see how she looks like now. Lianne & Mel seem both to be nice although I didn’t know nor haven‘t heard much of the later. I‘m sure it must‘ve been quite frustrating at the time, especially for Lianne, I mean they could’ve really been part of the band back then, just think about it.. on the other hand we would‘ve never got the Spice Girls we‘ve got today. It‘s just nice to see & hear that they have fond memories of that time and are not as bitter as some make them out to be. They should definitely do a programme about the audition process and what they do today etc. would be an interesting watch for sure.
@@SUGAPIE212 Lianne did an interview years ago where she was bitter as hell. Said she could sing better than all of them, and didn't seem to understand that we KNOW the Spice Girls aren't the best singers: they were a vibe that resonated in the 90's with young women (and men).
@@Nocturne22 Lianne actually wasn't bitter in that Interview. The Magazine just twisted her words to make her look bitter. Lianne explained this to the Denden Forums members years ago.
@@SUGAPIE212 Melanie Laccohee (now Coloma) was chosen to be in Posh's spot but after the finalizing the line-up, the management decided to offer her a solo deal instead
🌟And just to be clear.. Emma was there in 1994 way before they came up with the name Spice Girls and had all of the demos and songs. They originally were going to be called Touch. They all got their nicknames after they got famous with Wannabe. So for anyone wondering if she joined the Spice girls? NO! She was the 5th last member of the start up group. Then they were together and did demo songs and etcetera. She was there building at the start and to this very day. She's the heart of The Spice Girls. The only one who never causes trouble in the group. Lol we all know that the other 4 can be quite annoying with things they have done that holds things up, confuses us or messes up things for the group or for us to receive from them.
I always find it funny how they refer to the girls, who were considered for the group "Touch", as "former Spice Girls". They were never actually members of the Spice Girls, the group named themselves that years after they left Heart Management.
The Girls left Heart management in 1995 they changed their name to "Spice", so the girls who are in "Spice Girls" as the same girls who were also in "Touch" making them the same exact group.
Imagine just how the rejects feel 😂 especially Michelle that left for university and her mothers health and she never thought they were gonna be anything!
Just to be clear: that was the audition for Touch, a band manufactured by Bob and Chris Herbert, not the spice girls! The spice girls are an original idea but that 5 ladies: Mel c, Mel B, Geri, Emma and Victoria! Stop the fake news
@@drluizpires huh? All 5 of them were training under Chris for a group to be called Touch. There are footages of that. When contract came, they did not sign and went their way to find new management and eventually become Spice Girls. Every Spice fan knows this.
