Still finding my feet after a bit of a summer break. Been so busy doing stuff to free up other stuff!

As I always say thanks a million to all my subscribers, and thanks to everyone that watches my videos, if you haven’t subscribed please consider doing so, I like my subscribers quite a bit more than my none subscribers I almost love them, not quite love but better than friends😆
Thanks to the commenters and folk that share these on, they’re intended as light hearted entertainment, some are absolute crackers some a bit more serious. I love the model railways, I love filming them going about their business and I love chatting about them. No one in my house is interested in listening to me chat about them, hence I chat to you guys. Feel free to ask any questions.
The intention of this channel is to come at a different angle from the usual and do my own thing which may or may not be everyone’s cup of tea.
It gets me some peace up here in the loft though so I’ll keep it going. I only have a small fleet as they’re all the new sound fitted models and it’s a new hobby so don’t expect a different loco in each video. Hope you like this one, cheers! Dave

Good to see Ken Bachmann helping out the needy/nerdy (delete as applicable) I got LDS (Hornby one) back in the day, always leaned to one side, there is a joke in there somewhere possibly. LJ2; like this idea of splitting layout into sections with scenic breaks. When I wanted extra storage on High Fell, instead of a fiddle yard, I made the docks. Scenic storage is the answer 😁. 10m run, that’s going to look well decent👍

Well…. I took Libby for her swimming lesson today.. 10m pool 🤣 jeez it’s so big I’ve just swapped the plan to an 8.5m which puts me back onto the right side of planning laws 😄 Ken Bachmanns done me a solid! Ps I’ll have to show the redesign on the next video but I can assure you I’m not shy of storage any more 👍

For your industrial side of things ,I would design it around your wagons you have now and those perhaps you plan to buy. An obvious one would be some sort of intermodal handling point for your container wagons . Perhaps a mobile road stacker to enable the spare containers to be stacked high as they are these days. Inverness Millburn Yard is a good example to look at. with the Tesco containers. Exciting times ahead buddy. Great video and superb graphics.

Hi Dave- Nice to see the plans for the new layout and perhaps Richard has a Class 37 waiting for it to be being built !! I am not going to GETS as I am doing a charity walk but last year when I went it was totally rammed and not short of smelly folks with sharp elbows and rucksacks !!!!!!!!!! Cheers Kev

Looks like a good plan for the new layout but I think more storage tracks Dave, think of the line between Wakefield and Huddersfield for inspiration on seen storage tracks ....

Love the videos but your HST set is affecting my OCD. Can you swap 2 coaches round to cure it please! The last first class coach needs to be swapped with the 2nd class TGS coach, so that the Guard's compartment is next to the rear HST power car. Cheers!

@@doubleodave LOL The TGS is the Trailer Guard Second coach, which in your video was the 2nd from last coach but should be next to the HST power car! Looks good though :)

Who is Richard and should he be avoided. I love that class 47, lucky boy. I bought four decoders from TCS (no sound) for US$20 each and $20 to get them up here to Toronto. I have a Hornby Select Controller but looking for a power cord, a bit challenging. Are your cameras camcorders or SLR? Wondering how you can zoom in and out. Cheers

My god, I can't believe it, 'The temple of tracks' , I want copyright monthly or quarterly payments off all the merch.😂 If I was making a layout I'd have some tunnels at each end, on an end to end layout with a long loop under the main board, so if you go in a tunnel you come out the same tunnel with the long loop to hold as many trains as you need, say 4 trains each tunnel. So like 4 main tracks, so 2 sets shaped like an big X and crossing over each other (a 4 tunnel job) or splitting like a big Y (a 3 tunnel job). With none or very little siding in a yard away from the main tracks. That's what I'd do because I think I would get bored with the same train(s) going around a track loop. Just watched your plan again for it to sink in and delmonta say's yes.

I love the effort in this reply, it caused me brain pain though… BUT it inspired me to spend all day on anyrail tweaking things around and I think you’re gonna approve. If I’ve fully missed the point you’ll have to make a RU-vid video explaining to me in basic terms 🤣👍 cheers PH

@@doubleodave hi OO, I was basically giving you an idea how I would go about a big layout, with 2 levels, but with your dividing wall it's kind of the same thing as you have a lot more room than I would even attempt, I have just bought 85 metres of track and 20 or so turnouts, so I might soon be knocking a layout up. Might start with a DRS yard as I've got a 37 and 47 DRS, with a main line at the side just running a short yellow HST 125 network rail train which I need to mod first, which will hide in each tunnel on a delay with maybe a dmu on a 2'6"X 8' board or 3'x10', see how it goings, just to get the juices flowing. So you never know I might knock a video out just to see what people think, I just hope I don't get any gate keepers commenting, because I would have to pump some weights and have some juice and do a cry baby video about it. 😂 You better send me a ladder man if I do a video on my layout, O.K pal.
