I’m so glad you did this library tag! I love this one. My earliest fondest memory of the library was actually our school library in elementary. We got to go once a week and check out one book. I remember running to the Ramona books and picking out a new one each week. 🥰 After we picked out our books we would all sit on the ground for story time read by our librarian. I’m pretty sure that’s when I fell in love with books. And don’t even get me started on the Scholastic book fair, which was also held in our library for one week. They would set up shelves and stands everywhere filled of these books you could buy. 😍 Best memories of school! ❤

Forget the “and there were none” being part of The Fury, not even close. Also, I read it and didn’t care for it either unfortunately. Love the bag and the other books in your library haul. That’s so neat that your library is connected to the school. Two birds one stone. Very efficient!

I don't read a lot of modern poetry, because I don't like a lot of it, but I do really enjoy Billy Collin's poetry. Your public library system sounds awesome - 100 books out at a time!

Fun fact I got my first adult library card at age 9, I had unrestricted access to anything I wanted. The only issue was new employees would need to have the situation explained to them which was a somewhat frequent annoyance.

My husband read The Thief and the rest of the series outloud. We all loved it. Very clean. The second and third book are the best! Don't stop with the first one. They are more historical with just an element of magic in 1 of the books briefly.

I love the Queens Thief Series by Megan Whalen Turner. It's clean as far as 'romance' goes, but it does have some gory scenes. The Thief in the first one is not the most likable (well, I liked him, but I hear that statement often) but if R sticks through it and goes on to the others, I doubt she'll regret it. My library saves me $$ but it also saves me from buying books that I will regret. I tend to buy books after I have read them and know that I want to own them.

That's good to hear about the Queen's Thief series, thanks Deea! Raeca is a sensitive child but can somehow read violent scenes without it bothering here so I'll have to get her to try it out!

We had a bookmobile where I lived and loved going to it for books too. I also check out to many books then I read. I just browse the books and whatever jumps out to me then I get them.

Hi Chantel I enjoyed this Library Tag. It was interesting. Looks like you got a good stack of books. I can check out up to 100 Books and keep them for three weeks with two Renewals as long as somebody does not want the book. I love going to the Library. Take Care & Happy Reading ❤️🤗🙏🐾🐱🐾📚📕🔰📖☕️❤️

Love that bag! We’re big Audubon fans over here. My 5 year old loves the picture book, “The Boy Who Drew Birds” about him. I loved The Lazy Genius Way and had forgotten about it, definitely should revisit it in this season of life. Thank you for sharing! 😄

I haven't been using my library as much for myself lately as I have a bunch of owned books I'm trying to read. I do still check out ebooks to read while I sit with my toddler at bedtime. My kids check out almost a whole shelf every week, and my boys love their audiobooks.

I love this video and I LOVE the purse. I want one! My library use is a little different, since I work there. I often see books as they come in or go out, and I will check them out or put them on hold just because I held them in my hands and something about them grabbed me. I usually have out a LOT at a time. Then, I will read the book that is due the soonest. And that changes depending on if someone has placed a hold on it. When I finish one, I’ll log in to my account and see what’s due next. If I start it and I’m not feeling it, I just return it next time I go to work, and start the next book! But I’m trying to work my owned books in to this system now. Ha ha! Easier said than done. I always love your library hauls, I hope you’ll continue them in your new location! Put Agents of S.U.I.T on hold for J!

I've not been using my library as much the past few years since I've been trying to read my shelves but I definitely use it for buddy reads/group reads for books i want to read but don't own yet. (Then if i love the book I'll buy it). My system is similar to yours. There are LOTS of counties.. like most of the state of GA where i can request from. Also 100 books can be checked out. If i check out too many and my mood changes, then i don't feel bad about returning it because i can get it again plus it is good to see checkouts for my library.

I remember going to the library on the bus with my Mom and sister. Walking into the library with the creaking floors and the smell of the books-a wonderful smell! And hoping my favorite book would be there. Love, love, love the library!! TFS this video Chantel!

Love that sweet bag!! I loved this book tag too. I use my library so much and am there constantly. I forgot to mention in my video that they track my books and how much I save! That is a real satisfying thing to see how much you save by using the library. Watching library hauls always make me want to go to the library again!

What a beautiful bag. I wish my library would do the totals you saved. I started keeping track of it on my own, granted I don't know if they use the value of the book that is listed or another price but I have been using the value that's on the book. Fingers crossed that your new library has this amazing service of being able to check books out throughout the province

I would ask your library. Mine doesn't do a total like Chantel's does but my branch gives a total amount of money that is saved for everyone that uses the library based on how many checkouts and they post it in the lobby for everyone to see. I'm not sure if it's yearly or quarterly. They also give info on how many books have been checked out. And other I don't remember.😅

I've been curious about that map book of Canada too. I am currently reading Who killed Canadian history? And it is really good. Talking about how history on Canada has been all about social issues, not history at all. Get a good teacher and our nation is actually quite fascinating

For your thirteen year old, there's a booktube channel who recommends clean and/or Christian YA Contemporary books on the regular. I think her channel name is Lindsey From BFCG. BFCG is the blog she runs and it is Books for Christian Girls. I recommend her!
