I'll be real I have no idea why the Purple Tear scene was removed. It didn't change anything about the ending and gave us some more payoff towards her actions in this game, while clearly manipulating the Hana board to do things her way.
From the info I gathered it was because of her pitching the idea as mainly for money made her seem shallow. Also it made some people feel like the game didn't wrap up nicely so the cut-scene was a way to push the next game. I agree with you that it shouldn't have been removed and I would remind people that her true motive is to see her son. You can read that in the PT book in the credenza!
In Asia, the fans (or at least some of them) loudly complained that scene felt too much like Project Moon was telling them to pay up for the next game. I personally think that's incredibly stupid, but I also think the reviewbomb that followed the original ending was also moronic.
@@AzathothRoyal Too many story threads were left uncompleted so I understand that sentiment to an extent. I talk about all of that in my ending discussion video if your interested. There's been a ton of really good follow-up comments on that video as well!
@@cythe777 I don't think she was pitching the idea of money for her own gain, but to pressure a corporation who clearly can't think of anything other than the bottom line, as is the issue with most corporations. It's a knock of the corruption of power as I took it. And a way for her to further her goals. One as smart as herself should know that begging to see her son wouldn't change any minds.

I liked what they did for the keter realization especially for having it between the black silence fight and the reverb ensemble fight for pacing but I still wished they kept in the purple tear stuff

The Head is shrouded in so much secrecy that it's hard to say. It could be that the Head is looking for humans to evolve in some specific way but they believe that it must come from a human. It could also be a literal door that a 'chosen' person can only open lol. Your guess is as good as mine.
