Is it mandatory to stay in hostels in IISER K for Int. Msc-phD in life sciences ? Or are day scholars allowed ?

Yes, except national holidays. This is unique feature of IISER Kolkata.

Unfortunately No, its only for IISER Kolkata students and residents. It is on campus facility of IISER Kolkata.

No, they are dedicated institution for science, they offer degree in sciences, Five Year Integrated Masters, 2 Year Masters, and Ph.D.
