Frustratingly, Columbia & Regal don't show lake numbers on their records (prior to the EMI period). However, this is the one with Eddie Morris singing. I've not heard the Robert Howe take, but I find Howe too serious a singer for the lighter songs like this. I agree with your comment about the other side. To be avoided, in my opinion.
Now this is interesting. Stan Greening; 1 Sept 1927; When You Played The Organ & I Sang 'The Rosary'" on the other side (as dire as the title suggests?). Rust names Robert Howe as vocalist on the latter; but he lists two takes of Me & Jane. WA6104-1 was Robert Howe; WA6104-2 was Eddie Morris. You'll have to check your shellac.
