So I made my own liars dice set and was wondering about a rule variant. I know you said that during the betting you can up the value of the dice(3-3s / 3-4s / 3-5s) or up the amount(3-3s / 4-3s / 5-3s). I have playing where the next player's bet must be higher either way... if we are on 3-3s, they cannot go down to 4-1s, since the 1s are a lower value pip. Do you think this takes anything away from the game? I have noticed that it ups the ante(pun intended) a lot faster and puts more pressure on the next players. I hope that all made sense.
Chris handy has just announced set 3 coming out at the end of the year. I'm looking to this channel to let me know which ones are worth buying as soon as possible. Hopefully by early next year!
Liars dice is not a real game, it's a probablity excersize! lol...and now there's a printed way to choose between increasing the value by one or to call every turn? Now with 80% more portability, which I accept as a plus if you like this ... activity. But!!!.. 100% more irreplacability if you lose a 'die'. oiey. (still giving a thumb up as a review because I firmly believe that Zee thinks this is a good game, ...but then again I saw the 24 hour Shadows of Camelot and he fooled me then! TLDR: I have an apposing opinion ;) Keep up the good work Zee! ~JC The proceeding message was brought to you in good fun, or at least was intended to be ;)
+JChalant 1. How are you defining a game? 2. Poker would also be a probability exercise. 3.That's silly, of course Poker is a game and so is Liar's dice/cards. The ability to bluff and read people is the game. If you play this game and only use probability to make decisions you will lose to players that bluff and read others. I've played many times with people that only did the simple math and I beat them well over half the time. Probability is only extremely accurate when you have very large sample sizes anyway. Every individual game of liars dice is not a very large sample size. You need the simple probability math on your side, but the game is in the bluff/read.
I thought I was being lighthearted about it, but I'd be more than happy to add some engagement to this video...get that ad sense revenue baby! This "game" is too simple. Comparing it to poker ? You gotta be kidding... 1-6 x5d xPs vs. 1-13 x 5c xPs ...plus 28 runs, 28 non-linear groupings, variable sets, and combinations there of. liars dice is add one or call, that's it. You don't even have to look at your dice to win this thing more than monkeys. I guess you could say calling a coin toss heads/tails or lands on edge a game too though. Liars dice? (1.5*P) sixes if it isnt there yet, else add 1, else call. Can't even call out someone other than the person before you? (Or am I 'playing' it wrong?) but hey, different strokes and all. Enjoy it if you can, and I hope I'm not poopooing on your favtorite of all time. As for me, Paaaa-ss.
JChalant Maybe you think you are making lighthearted comments, but how you actually come across is as someone who thinks they are better than people who are such simpletons that they enjoy liars dice. In other words, you’re getting reactions because you’re coming across like a bit of an ass.
I bought from China a pack ok tiny dice, like one hundred. They fit in a zipbag the size of the smaller card sleeve we know for board games. It was less than $3. I carry it everywhere I go to play liers dice "the original game". Because of that Lie did not impressed me at all.
