Intresting thing I actually see liebherr lhms barged in and out of the vicinity daily since there is a car carrying port next to PNCT(container port) and the straddle carriers are used to bring and take containers from and to the lhms since there is several facilities witch service roro ships so there is normaly 2-4 at the quay loading and unloading from 3 diffrent quay walls, one some occasions u will see 6-8, but it is normally 4-5 at the quay only servicing those areas, not in the container ports themselves

looks like a nice job working in a port. I'd love to operate a harbour crane, I get so sick of operating construction machinery (excavators, loaders, dump trucks..) I'd love to try something new.. great videos!

Great video! I wonder how you get the information about which container to place where... this situation with two barges and containers on shore seems very complex....

Wow Joris, I do have some questions because what you do I didn't do on land. Do you have cameras on the head to see down in places on the ship that you can't see to pick up or set down a container? I do see when you pick up a container on the dock you raise it up so the men can put in the four twist locks. Back when I was on this job we couldn't lift two twenty footers together that was never done while I worked there. I do see that you have control on this head for controlling the turning and that sure helps for the speed. There are so many questions that I would love to ask you but can't do that here. Things have gotten so much better since I retired and I go in the internet looking all the time to see what is new. I try to keep up to the new technology because I enjoy it and never get tired of it. thanks for your postings of your work I really enjoy watching.

Apm actually handles the ACL ships but I never seen them handle ships like the Atlantic Star
