@@aufaidasehn Nope Friend in London 2011 reached the final and they had a cover version of Andreas Johnson's song Sing a song from Melodifestivalen 2006

Very ABBA-esque melody. The songwriters of this entry accused Sweden's 2001 entry "Listen to Your Heartbeat" of plagiarism. I can hear why, they use basically the same chorus melody.

Composer Siirak Brogden was actually Piet Roelen, who was Lisa's producer. Lyricist Daniël Ditmar is actually called Daniël Gybels. Conductor Bob Porter was actually called Robert Van Peborgh (1945-2013) Keyboards: John Terra Backing singers: Lieve Verbeeck, Pascale Michiels and Nadia Mampaey

I gave this song 10 points when I listened to the 1996 contest on the radio. It is still a fantastic song and a song that I enjoy listening to even now. Oh, and I remember Belgium awarding 12 points to the United Kingdom. So I have this to say: A) Dank u wel, Belgie; B) Vielen dank, Belgien; C) Merci beaucoup, Belgique; D) Da iawn a Diolch yn fawr, Gwlad Belg; E) Dankas vin; Belgio; and F) THANK YOU, BELGIUM!

@TheDRMISTERY I think the United Kingdom gave their 12 to Cyprus, and 5 to Belgium. My personal 12 goes to Norway. I personally think Belgium was underrated, my 8th place of 1996.
