I was raised religious but am now an Atheist. I'm reminded of religious fundamentalists who try to convert others... I believe they are completely wrong, and have no solid case to make. However, I can also acknowledge that they believe what they say they do, and that (from their perspective) they are trying to help others. For all of their faults it is out of concern for others that they act. Now, if you've ever tried to interact with people like this, note the reaction you get if someone claims that they are acting in bad faith and actively trying to deceive others. You get NOWHERE and they immediately become defensive (they might even claim the person they are talking to is possessed or deceived by the devil; the conspiracy theorist equivalent of being brainwashed or working for some government agency). It is the end of any productive discussion. I've found a much better approach is to first let them know you think they are being genuine, and thank them for their concern for others. As strange as it sounds, first making that human connection with them makes all of the difference. Typically that would be the end of the first conversation, and I just let them know that I'm passionate about the truth and helping others, but that I disagree and am not looking to argue with them... and if they'd like, at some point we can talk about it because I believe these views do cause some very real harm. Then I shake their hand or hug their neck. You would be surprised at how many people are willing to sit down at a later time after processing this. At the very least, they will be willing to hear you out, and are exposed to a new point of view and arguments they otherwise would not be. It's about planting a seed and making it so THEY want to dive deeper on their own, at their own pace. I don't think someone has EVER changed another person's mind... but people change their own minds every day. It is a long and sometimes painful process; no one wants to be wrong and it is difficult and embarrassing to admit. And if someone might say this is ridiculous, look at how almost ALL the Westboro Baptist Church's members have changed their minds (the people with "God hates fags" and "thank god for dead soldiers" signs). Also look into the work of Daryl Davis (a black man who made friends with the KKK and has had 200 people so far change their minds and leave the organization). I really think I'm onto something about how the approach taken to these topics does far more harm than good. And look, I'm not trying to poop on your parade here... it's just food for thought. I enjoy your videos and you are one of the good sources out there that I wish more people would see. You are so far the only person who has bothered to listen and even to respond. You're a rarity; the best of the best. I know I can offer a critique and you won't take it personally. Thanks for everything you do.

I've worked in camps many times but they rarely ever used bottled water, with the majority of the water being tanker trucked in at a tenth of the cost of bottles. My point is aimed more at the average person who buys bottled water thinking it is better than what comes out of the tap when it's virtually the same thing.

It is simple: Marketing. There is too much money to be made out of fools. I do see a use of bottled water, when I am on vacation, driving, and want to drink water, I might buy some, and then just refill it. I properly buy it for the bottle. There is another use of bottled water, not all, but many: it is sterilized, so it can last for years. good in case of emergency. But not for regular use, not for your wallet or the planet.

@@ikocheratcr Marketing.. I've said that if they could figure out a way to sell you a breath of air they'd try. I can see the need for bottled water in emergencies or temporarily if potable water isn't readily available. I would not trust bottled water in long term storage (years) though. A clear container isn't the best thing for that and the plastics used will break down over time and quicker in UV light, not the best. Most tap water is chlorinated so there is no worry of it going "bad" unless whatever it is stored in wasn't disinfected and sealed properly. I've had my emergency supply of water last for years before being refreshed without a hint of a problem. just sayin'

In some locations the tap water is seriously unpalatable. I was once one of about 20 people in a focus group, and it turned out the subject was tap water. The upshot was to determine the perceived impact of known trichloroethylene plumes in the ground around the Phoenix metro area. We were asked (among other things) where we got out drinking water. Most bought it 5 gallons at a time from the coin-op dispensers around town; others had water treatment systems at home. I was the only one in the group who drank the iron-rich tap water. My daughter lives in southwest Albuquerque. The tap water has so much manganese in it that a glass of water left overnight has a pink film on the bottom.

I'm glad you present yourself as an example of proof. Fluoridation has been happening for several decades now with little side effects exhibited in the population. There will always be exceptions. Some people are just very sensitive to things like this,, but if it was really that bad for us, the results would be obvious by now. Too many people are overly suspicious of anything the government does these days. It's good to be wary but don't cut off your nose to spite your face.

This video is wrong or misguided on many points. If you want to hear a legitimate counter argument and math to back it up, then continue reading. There was no mention in this video that the fluoride added to water is not sodium fluoride but hexafluorosilicic acid and sodium silicofluoride which is very toxic and is a byproduct of the phosphorus mining industry. This stuff is very toxic and is not the same as naturally occurring sodium fluoride which is safe in very minute amounts. He also doesn’t mention how sodium fluoride was the main active ingredient in rat poisons for many years. Look it up. Recommend amount of toothpaste = 1 pea sized squirt. 1 pea is approximately 0.25cm cubed. There are 4000 pea sized amounts of toothpaste in a liter. 1500mg/liter fluoride toothpaste divided by 4000 = 0.375mg of fluoride per 1 pea sized amount of toothpaste. The EPA’s max regulatory limit for fluoridated water is 4mg/Liter and the secondary limit is 2mg/L. These limits have known to be exceeded with limited action from regulatory authorities. The EPA allows cities to exceed the 2mg limit for up to 12 consecutive months before taking action. But for science, let’s just go with the HHS recommendation of 0.7mg/L. If someone drinks 2 liters of water a day, that is 1.4 mg of fluoride daily ingestion. Now think about athletes and people who work/live in hot climates that consume a gallon of water (3.78 Liters) a day. That would bring us 2.65 mg of Fluoride a day. This far exceeds the 0.375mg of fluoride in a pea sized squirt of toothpaste. Now what if it is a hot climate and someone’s is drinking a gallon of 2, 3, or 4 mg/L fluoridated water? A fluoride concentration of 2 mg/L in drinking water would result in 7.56mg of daily fluoride consumption. That is 20x more fluoride consumed through water compared to the fluoride in a pea sized scoop of toothpaste! This isn’t even factoring in that the fluoride we receive from municipal energy water supplies is NOT sodium fluoride but the chemicals listed above. I will save writing out the calculations for acute toxicity via drinking water, which can and does happen, but the real problem is long term exposure. These heavy metals bind to the calcium in our bones. What happens to our bones when we get older? The density goes down and large amounts of heavy metals may be released to flow through our blood and land in soft tissue. Alzheimer’s anyone? Our bodies require many nutrients and minerals in very minute amounts that are found naturally occurring in underground water springs. If we are lacking a nutrient, we can simply supplement it into our diet. It is absurd to think the government cares so much about our teeth that they would medicate or supplement the water supplies with it, meanwhile, Americans are greatly lacking in many other nutrients and minerals that the government does not supplement our water with. Instead the government allows all kinds of crap into our food including hydrogenated oils which cause heart disease, one of the leading causes of death in America in the hundreds of thousands. “Cigarettes are good for you too!” they used to say. What makes more sense, the government is very concerned with our teeth, but not how much sugar (tooth decay) companies use in food. Or the government allowed a way for the phosphorous mining industry to rid itself of industrial waste instead of dumping heavy concentrations of it into streams which the EPA outlawed? You tell me what is logical. Many times throughout history, the science community has claimed to have it all figured out until one day a lone Wolf scientist figures out the establishments belief is wrong. This lone Wolf has been mocked at many times. Today is no different. We must question established views on science. It doesn’t mean there is a great conspiracy always but that simply large populations of people scientist have often been wrong. However, those in power should not be blindly trusted. Did you know America is one of the only countries who fluoridate their water? Question, question, and question again.

Science will never be able to keep up with the acceleration of ignorance, because it's not science's fault. It's a failure of education infrastructure, sure, but more than that, it's a failure of capitalism. Class divides and culture wars are created specifically to maximize consolidation of wealth and that's creating and ever-growing wealth and wellness gap in modern society. Water fluoridation is not the best way to administer fluoride, but it is the easiest way to get systemic fluoride to children in high poverty and low education areas. The differences are still apparent in local rural communities in the US between towns that fluoridate their water and those that don't. Socioeconomics make a difference.

Parking lot, lobby, data hall, data cabinet/server rack, server. The idea is that every measure helps ensure security, but you dont waste money on measures that dont make sense. Locking the bathroom when you are already inside and it wouldnt have access to a greater measure of security is pointless. Water fluoridation on the other hand is another measure itself that has been proven effective.

Most theft wouldn't be from break-ins anyway, so better security is almost a necessity, otherwise your insurance premium would be off the charts.

Microwave is located between IR and radio. By logic, if visible light can't cause cancer, neither do microwave.
