I honestly feel Canibus didn’t deserve that response from LL, the verse about grabbing the mic from LL’s arm was not disrespectful at all. It’s hip hop, if anything, he was paying him homage. Just my opinion.
💯💯 LL was always known as a 'sensitive' rapper and word in the deep streets was Cannibus bodied LL with the lyrics 🤷🏾♀️ LL at the time was mainstream so they hyped him up to say he was the winner but the streets say differently 🙋🏾♀️
That was a bit excessive, especially since LL was already cemented in Battle Rap Greatest after his biggest battle against Kool Moe Dee (I still think you won, kinda).
Drake is never going to recover from this and IF he does, it’s ONLY because people love fraudulence and pretense. People like being abused by the artists they listen to and rarely like an artist who doesn’t take them for complete fools. Drake probably knows there’s a chance he can recover from this and act like he wasn’t on the losing end of one of the most humiliating feuds since Vietnam. I like some of drakes music here and there but I’ve always questioned his shift to street guy persona when he’s clearly a cornball with money and thinks payola is right as rain in HipHop and rap. Everything about him is corny and disingenuous when he tries to be a tough guy or a “five star general”.
I like three Drake songs Kiki going bad and God's plan and I play those almost everyday along with Kendrick's songs I think Drake will be okay it's just going to take a while for this whole thing to blow over for everybody I would be embarrassed if I was Drake😢

The Cannabis beef was a situation of the industry vs small game. He didn't stand a chance yet, he took on the challenge. It's a respectable beef unlike many others. Everyone else was pretty much on equal footing outside of meek vs Drake.

The only people he’s not done for are people who don’t care about his history, and they are also being attacked by others for being willing to admit they don’t care.

Murder Inc.( Ja Rule, Irv Gotti ) . Canibus ( also had a beef with Slim) . Limp Bizkit. Everlast. ICP. And most recrently, MGK AND JOE BUDDEN. I’m sure I missed a few.

I've never been much of a Drake fan and I do like Kendrick. But I think it's important to point out that Drake just signed a $400M deal with Universal and the decision to pull down his dis tracks and not fire back at Kendrick might not have been totally his decision. Personally I think that just saved him from more embarrassment. In a press release Universal also wants Kendrick to publicly apologize for the pedo comments.. If there is no direct evidence proving that Drake is a pedo fine but if they don't know and just don't want people digging deeper afraid of what might be uncovered. That is really ****** up! I get their $440M deal won't be worth the paper it's sign on if there is any truth behind the comments but are there any crimes worse than sex crimes against children?

I see what you’re trying to say. But do agree a bit with what this dude said. That battle had lasting consequences. Saying the game won is his opinion. But he got dropped from g unit and aftermath as a result of that beef. Meaning if he didn’t potentially he may have had more backing later in his career and the numbers may have been better. That being said 50s numbers didn’t do that great after a certain point either.
