Lost my husband to Parkinson’s disease last December. We had been married 58 years - soooo many triggers…. I miss him so much. The first few months I felt like I was drowning. Lo, these five months later, I’m beginning to feel alive again - barely. Also lost two grandsons and two great grandsons since September 2019. Tragic loss beyond words …

She's brilliant. Her message is helpful for anyone who has experienced a death of a loved one. Fentanyl or not. Without great love grief does not exist is a great thing to remember. And also to be kind to yourself while going through YOUR grief because people experience it differently indeed. Thank you Texas Pictures for this wonderful message to us all.

This randomly popped up and I’m crying. I lost my mom to alcoholism last June 22nd. She wasn’t always the way she was the last few years.. and we had no idea she was even sick and dying. Her boyfriend never contacted us.. a police officer was at my baby brothers door (he was 21, my sister is 24 and married so her last name is now different, and I’m across the country because my husband is in the military) to tell him and he was all alone. It’s completely broken us kids. I’m still shocked she won’t get to know my son, she watched me go through 12 surgeries and chemotherapy and now he’ll never know her.. it’s tragic. All that’s left are her ashes. I worry about her soul every day.. I pray she’s at peace. The pain is debilitating.

Oh my gosh, this killed me. I am SO SORRY Amy. I am 36, and my mommy is my whole world. She is the sweetest most nurturing person. But after my brother was murdered, she became an alcoholic in her pain. Her health is so bad, and she is so selfless so she tells nobody of what she's going through so that she does not "burden" us. Your reality right now is my biggest fear. 😢 Every time my brother calls me, my heart drops because I fear it's just a matter of time before it is THAT call. I can't even fathom the pain you and your siblings are experiencing, I am so sorry. But one thing I do know, is those countless stories of people who briefly died and what they felt and what they experienced in those moments on the other side, and it was nothing but the most absolute beautiful peace that an earthly person could never imagine feeling. They didn't even want to return to their body here because it was such an unbelievable feeling of peace and happiness, of completely forgetting or unlearning pain and sadness, as there was literally no such thing in that moment. So please know your Mama immediately entered into the most beautiful surreal paradise with the utmost serene peace in her heart and soul, and she would have NEVER left you willingly. I will keep you in my heart and my payers on this awful unbearable journey you were forced into. I am so sorry for your heartbreak and loss.❤

I just buried my son Brendan 26 Monday. We’re waiting for the toxicology report but in my heart I know it was fentanyl poisoning. He was my baby boy and I never understood the pain and sorrow these parents were going through until May 1st 2024 when I couldn’t wake my son up. I’m beyond shattered 💔.

This is one of the sanest, most concise reflections of loss & grief that I have ever come across. Your advice is so on point. I’m 8 yrs a widow, my husband died at 49, & I believe that there is no timeline to “getting over” a loss just the courage to keep going; moving thru the pain of the love lost & trying to keep an open heart that will sustain joy again. This channel is doing such great work. I thank each & everyone of you for your bravery & courage to share. Nothing but love for you all & your departed love ones that you honour here. ❤❤❤

That statement, get over it, is so absolutely ignorant and lacking empathy, these people are cold and couldn't ever comprehend how devastating this is to a family etc. There's never getting over this type of emotional pain. These people endure an eternity of pain that may dull with time.
