My 5yo daughter adores Wolfy! We talk about what things we’ll do when we visit Japan; I suggest visiting the Ghibli Museum… she says she wants to see Wolfy! (Like he’s a tourist attraction!) 🤣
Amazing the ways parenting has been changing over generations. I felt a nervous tension in the back of my mind when you said Wolfy had broken the TV. I would have been terrified if I broke my parent’s TV. So proud of you guys.
I found it very interesting when you were discussing large trash removal, & the hurdles you had to jump through to dispose of your large screen TV. No-one has covered the topic of waste disposal in Tokyo, & however unsavory the topic, I would love a full video about it. Literally I have found no-one covering this topic. ///I think the baby car seat looks, high-end with all the bells & whistles. Aesthetically, the car seat looks very sporty. A great choice for a growing little boy. I also love the enrichment of your apartment for Wolfie with the basketball hoop & encouraging waterproof learning poster in the tub area. Great job of subject matter & editing. I know you both were recovering from exhaustion/because of Wolfie’s sickness, but something I would like to see in the future would be more music accompaniment during action scenes like when you picked up Wolfie from school. Keep up the good work.
All the stores know this. I used to work retail in a department store. At the registers there would always be little snacks, candies, goodies in the front because just when you're done checking out, why not buy a little cheap snack to go with your very large purchase, it won't cost you much.
That marketing thing is done in US stores as well. Probably in a bunch of other countries. All of the colorful and sugary things are at kids' eye level.
Wolfie is at such a fun and extremely challenging age right now. Paolo, I can imagine that between taking care of him, other domestic stuff, and video editing, you don’t have a lot of personal time these days. (Said from personal experience!) One question. When my wife and I lived in an apartment with our little one, the tantrums (and night crying) were particularly stressful because our neighbors could definitely all hear them. (I live in a rural area, so I often took my daughter out and walked around the rice fields until she calmed down.) Has this been an issue for you? Or maybe your ‘manshon’ walls are a little thicker than our flimsy old ‘apaato’. 😅 Anyway, hang in there. It gets easier!
Keep in mind, a lot of earthquake and fire insurance in Japan also covers accidents caused by the insured up to a certain amount. It's called kazai hoken and it usually is bundled up with homeowners insurance plans etc. You should look into it. The insurance company might cut you a check for the cost of a new TV.
Wolfie is so cute! Kids love to help, I taught mine how to clean when they were very little like Wolfie. My oldest is nearly 16 and although he hates cleaning he is very good at it as is my 12 year old.. Still working on my twin 7yr olds though. Levi, my boy loves to clean but his sister, Lydia, not so much.
Yups same in Singapore where we have to get the Neighbourhood Town Council to dispose of any large item like the Smart TV and sofa. But we pay monthly/yearly “maintaine” fees so yeah…
The people who design grocery stores and the balance between difficult to find and frustration plus placement are EVIL GENIUSES! So much study goes into it!
Just found your beautiful family from the last video, and have binged almost all of your videos since! So glad Wolfy and his mama and dadi are better :)
Sorry to hear that Wolfe is in the ER. He is such a cutie. Also that sucks about the TV, it really stinks when babies accidentally break or ruin something important or expensive. I would have been crying if that happened to me. Though my kids had definitely destroyed things as toddlers. The toddler age is when they make the biggest messes. Hope he feels better soon.
invest in a projector and throw away the TV. It saves so much space ESPECIALLY in a typical japanese house. Just hang the white film on the ceiling and have it roll down that way you can still use the space that the TV is currently occupying for other things. This is also super child proof lol
Paolo! Next time if wolfy has fever try taking olive oil and coating his head with it then massaging it for about 10-20 mins. Idk why this helps but it does reduce the temperature. You can sleep with the oily hair or wash it. My mom did it to us and her mom did it to her siblings as well and it always works!
I love this channel so much! That's my favorite time of the day too, picking up my daughter and her running/walking towards me, saying 'mama!' Glad Wolfy is feeling better and your whole family is safe and happy! Of course a Japanese supermarket would think of that for kids... wish US had the same design mentality. :) Can't wait to make my baby back to Japan. Your channels are such a big help and inspiration for a visit.
I really love that maiko is always ready to get down on the floor to give wolfy attention. You both are such good parents. Its really hard for me to spend time with my 3kids separately. 😅
Ok I can't take it anymore. Wolfy is sooo cute. Look at him shop with those cute little runners. I wish Canada had stores like that. I'm glad he's feeling better 😀
So glad the Man is better ; hopefully Mommy and Daddy got some much needed sleep. Sick little ones are so draining physically and emotionally, but the wo of you kicked butt in this go round!💯👨👩👦
So happy Wolfy is feeling better. lt is so good to see such proud parents! Your family is so wonderful. I enjoy your videos. Wolfy is so funny saying no no, no no 😂
It's great to see Wolfie is feeling so much better. Japan needs a few shop and replace stores. Several of our big name stores will bring the new item and take the old one away.
That's one of the problems in Japan- nothing gets fixed cheap, everything has to be purchased brand new. This is the case with bicycles as well there. A normal brake system costs almost as much as a new 2nd hand bicycle.
Paolo all you need now is the sports car to put the car seat in stay safe can’t wait to be able to get back to Japan as soon as they will let us regards Clayton
I love your videos and wish all the best to your little family. Just a thought regarding the basketball hoop, I'm not sure if playing with a ball doesn't disturb your neighbors. In my building I can hear and feel vibrations when people/kids are jumping, running or doing any other activities other than regular walking... I think some activities don't belong into an apartment but rather outdoors or to dedicated indoor places...
I totally understand how worried and scared you both were while wolfy was poorly, because he can’t tell you how he feels us parents have to try and guess what’s wrong!! I could see just how scared and upset you were Paolo when you were at the hospital as you were not in control of your emotions because there were drs and nurses examining wolfy and you were not in there with him either!! 😢 a temperature is a way of the body saying something is wrong…you are both wonderful loving caring Parents. I am so glad that wolfy has made a full recovery and that he is enjoying full days at nursery which is a huge learning curb for both child and parents.. Do you not have household insurance for your goods inside your home? In the UK 🇬🇧 we pay a premium per year to a company for such accidents like what happened with your tv, you can have accidental cover and get the goods replaced ( you just pay a fee first per claim) which isn’t much really but you get either a replacement or a set amount of money to buy new products. Take care both of you and love and best wishes to little wolfy who is just adorable. Watching from 🇬🇧 UK xx😁😁🥰😁😁
you should have checked for e-recycling places nearby, at least in Canada theres places you can take old electronics and they'll take them from you, despite the display being broken in the TV, usually we're able to salvage certain parts inside of it like power supplies/capacitors etc, and then you don't have to pay disposal fees
Poor little man, hope he's feeling better 🥺🙏 Also don't know if it applies but usually whenever something electronic breaks, I'm sure that there's always someone out there willing to pay to take it off your hands rather than paying to get rid
In America we have a 5 point harness system for children his age. I find it interesting that it’s different across the world. The chest plate part is to keep them from being ejected. Maybe I couldn’t see it in your car seat.
That hoop is too low for Wolfy. He needs to dunk! 😄 Can't believe that he broke the TV throwing the remote. He's got a strong arm! Deduct the cost from his allowance when he starts getting 😋 Nice to see he's healthy again.
