My Mom and my aunt and uncles went to school with Conway in Helena Arkansas. They grew up with him and were close friends. I met him once when he flew in and stopped in to our town and in his private plane and we all met him there. I was young but will never forget it. I grew up listening to all of his music and have loved all of them. He was such a down to earth country guy. He was taken far too young. 😢

Conway was great. I loved hearing him and Loretta sing duets. They were it in the 70's. Loretta said that she broke down bad when Conway passed away. She said that Doolittle was in the hospital and she thought that Conway was coming to visit Doo but he was coming in as a patient. So sad.

Miss Conway so much. Two of the sexiest voices in Country Music, Conway Twitty & Marty Robbins! And you can't get any better than Coway & Loretta singing together. My favorite Conway song is "You've Never Been This Far Before". How many male singers do you know, that can get away with singing in a pink leisure suit on Hew Haw & still be sexy?? ONLY CONWAY!!!

I seen Conway Twitty on my Birthday, in the 80's and wow! He was and still is my all time favorite singer! He sang rock and roll for a short while, then decided it was country that was his love. I am grateful l that I heard, seen him perform at Ponderosa park and he even sang "Happy Birthday Darlin'." "He was a great singer and I cried, even wrote a letter on the day he passed away expressing my thoughts, cried my eyes out for days when Conway went to Heaven. what is really haunting was his last album release was called final touches. :(

I was pregnant when Conway passed away, never forget that day ... driving, announcement came on radio, I had to get off road I was bawling, my son was born 6 weeks early, I know his early birth was from the loss of Conway, hit so hard. I'd love to lay you down was always a good song, I have all albums, you are deeply loved and missed, music will always live on with me. I cried through this whole show. Conway had a voice that went straight to your heart. My mom loved him, so I grew up listening to his music. I love hearing his songs, now as a 50-something woman. My favorite was always "Linda on My Mind", & anything he did with Loretta. And the recording of "Rainy Night in Georgia" with Sam Moore of Sam & Dave fame was amazing! I'm going to go look up those wonderful songs right now & spend the rest of my evening with Conway.

We all Loved Conway Twitty! And he had done numerous performances at Little Nashville Opry. Conway Twitty had a thing: That before his show, performance: And as the auditorium was filling with his shows attendees: Conway Twitty would go behind the darkened stage and use the sound system and say, "Hello darling " the audience in the auditorium.. would go wild. We all Loved it. Conway Twitty would repeat numerous times...During the Auditorium filling with attendees... from the darken stage, "Hello darling." What a great man, musician, singer, performer. Conway Twitty will FOREVER Be MISSED.

I sold the last ticket to his last show, he was ever to perform. It was to be at Little Nashville Opry in Nashville, Indiana. Conway Twitty was to perform on Saturday Night and he died on Thursday. It was a terrible shock to us all... I heard Twitty had passed away, on the radio, in my car, on my way to work at LNO. When I entered the LNO office, to be with my co workers... I immediately asked had they heard: "That Conway Twitty, had just passed away?" Every thing went into Frenzy mode with shock... LNO had 3 sold out shows. 2 on Saturday evening and 1 on Sunday afternoon, for Conway Twitty. Boo Hoo.
