i find it interesting that the patterns of movement her eye do while talking is the same as a sighted person , she shifts her eyes to the side when thinking , and makes direct eye contact with the interviewer even tho she does not see him

Years of drama classes helps alot
@fanofallaroundaudreyandjus544
It’s because she could see for a while before she went fully blind since she was a teenager when it happened she still knows what eye contact is and how to do it and why it’s important so she still just naturally does it. Also she’s still used to doing that or doing other things sighted people do like she’ll still turn to see what’s happening when she hears something or someone walks into the room since it’s been ingrained in her brain so long that she’s used to it.

Thank you for sharing your story. I also experienced some isolation in grade eight. I was bullied from Grade 1-12. I moved schools in grade 3 because the bullying was so bad that I would come home and cry every day. I did not have any friends at elementary school or high school. I felt alone and isolated from socializing with my peers. Being on the Autism spectrum and seen as different at school was very hard. I so wanted to have friends and hang out with my peers. Now at 33 years old I am working full time in an elementary school. I still feel somewhat isolated from social experiences. I love my job, working with children who have difficulties. The hard part for me is fitting in with my coworkers. I am never fully accepted by the other Education Assistants. I have made progress, but no one talks to me in the lunch room when the EA"s have their breaks together. Sure I talk to the other EA's but no one askes me questions or interacts with me unless I start the conversation. They are mostly on their phones or talking with each other. I sit with them but still feel left out. I wish sometimes that I could talk about my strugles and relate some of them to Autism. I don't talk about having a disability at work because I have done this in the past and was treated completely differently. I worked at a therapy centre for children with Autism and my coworkers would speak slower to me and repeat themselves when talking with me or explaining things. Since then I never tell other people outside of my family about my Autism. I am happy to hear your story and about the confidence you have gained in life. I also watch your RU-vid channel. Keep being awesome. If you ever come to Victoria BC please look me up. I would love to hang out, talk. :) Mary Rutter

I am glad you got your confidence back after those rough teenage years. You seem like you already know you're a beautiful personality. However, just in case no one has told you, I think you're beautiful on the outside as well, and the purple hair looks great on you.

What a joy to suddenly find a popular video with less than 50 comments. I'll even read a few out of curiosity. And yes, I'm interested in the story of this blind lady.

I like your motivation I went to a disabled school and I've seen so many disabilities so to me you are normal. I use a powerchair and I'm a teacher at 53 years old. I learned that my disability doesn't confine me.

Hello Molly, Enjoyed all you had to say. I would love to be your friend. My granddad was head of the blind association in his day. He had just a little vision in one eye, why he always had black smudges on his nose from newspaper. He was a wonderful smart man, I miss him so much.
