Thank you for this report . Thank you to these brave women for speaking out and sharing the stories of their families. Interracial & interfaith marriages and relationships have been going through trials and tribulations for centuries. For A country that considers itself a modern western democracy , their restrictive apart heid based rules would not fly in actual western countries. The irony is that most western governments are supporting this but would not allow this type of militarized subjugation of people in their own countries . Tragic !

I experienced a little of this many years ago when things werent as harsh. Being questioned by Israeli soliders about my then fiance - a palestinian muslim, who i was sat with in a park in Jerusalem on a sunny afternoon - if i was going to marry him, why, just generally being ars*holes. I put more trust in my British passport at that time than i should have, i wasnt very coopertative and very indignant! Airport departures were always eventful - where have you been staying? Named an Arab village and that was it!! Whisked away, stripped searched (to my underwear) questioned. I knew even so I had it easy. And yet despite everything I knew wanted to live in the village or East Jerusalem where they had previously lived. I felt like I belonged.

Any nation that surrounds itself with 7 metre high walls is not a country but a Lunatic Asylum! 🤪

We failed the Palestinians for so long. Not intentionally. Only because the whole world felt sorry for the Israelis and what they had to endure during the holocaust. Israel, instead of learning empathy and compassion, hardened their hearts and has continued to play the 'victim' card, venting all their bitterness, hatred and inhumanity on the innocent Palestinians. October 7 was the trigger that changed things. The world has woken up. Values of truth , justice and fairness are universal and are inscribed into our very DNA by our Creator, God. Because He is the Truth. He is Just. He is Righteous. Let's continue to fight the good fight for truth, justice and freedom for the Palestinians in any way we can. With love, peace and non-violence.
