In the nicest possible way (always afraid of sounding like a stalker creeper), I don't care what you post, when I watch, it so feels more like sitting around the table with a friend over a cup of tea. Just comfy and cozy and fun.
Susan Howard we all feel like that, don’t worry. Lol. When the content is good like this, we’re on pins and needles waiting for the next one. There vids we know are geared towards us so the excitement level kicks up a notch. Lol. #ellesquad
+Elle Leary Artistry Hi Elle, I am LOVING the Maelove!!!! Thank you so much for all your help with that. What would you do if you used mineral makeup and wanted to use a cream blush? Would I put the cream blush on first!! I am loving the Pixi cheek blush, which comes in a tube. I just want your thoughts. My skin does really well with Neutrogena Mineral foundation. I shall play around and try the blush before and after the foundation!!!
Miranda, right? I call that my 'friend in my head'. I'll be talking to a friend or co-worker and recommend something and say oh my friend Elle said this works great for blah blah blah....
Elle, wondering if one day you could show a tutorial of applying face makeup including bronzer on mature women (mature being 60 or so)? Your technique she expertise would be very much appreciated. Also, your tips on cleaning a beauty blender sponge. Thank you.
I am so glad you, Elle, introduced me to cream blushes. I absolutely love the youthful glow they give me and dont disappear on my dry skin or cake up anything on my face. My favorites are the Sonia Kashuk ones (but it seems target is only selling brushes now from this line, and the Stila convertible colors particularly Petunia (coral) and Lilium (nude pink). I also love Cherry Blossom in their Sunrise palette. Stilas are all on sale right now and an additional 25% off right now making their 2 palettes $7.50 and the singles $13.50. For a highlight on cheekbones, I love the Pixi glowtion day dew tapped on under foundation. As for a brush, I use the Real techniques stippling brush and tap the cream blush in circular motions.
Very pretty look on you. I appreciate seeing some cream blushes. I love some of Milani's baked that have a little illuminating properties, yet sometimes they sit on my 57 1/2 year old skin so takes a little work. I appreciate you providing tips for more mature skin and making it easier with cream blushers... though it appears you have far from mature skin :) Even though many don't have many wrinkles nearing 58 you are so right that our faces lose volume and that causes larger pores in the mid cheek region and also loss of general volume to the face. I appreciate your videos for more matures skin very much and I'm a dermatology nurse!
Thanks Elle! I have been a cream blush girl for a while now. I picked up my first cream stick blushes a few years back cuz it's so easy to get a put together look in the summer. Sunscreen. No foundation. Slap on a stick blush that can double as a lipstick if need be. Pop it into the beach bag and it's a look! Thanks for the tips. You look amazing
Love love love cream blushes. Chantecaille cream blushes are beautiful - really easy to blend. Bobbi brown pot rouge, max factor miracle, nars cream blush, nyx, ilia, rms, by terry...all gorgeous. They sink into the skin and just give life back to the skin. Especially great for those of us over sixty.
I have a MUF cream blush in a gorgeous coral shade. I have a blush beautyblender and a Zoeva cream blush brush, but more often than not I use my fingers to tap it on my cheeks. Love cream blushes! xx
Yes it was!!! It was me!!! Taught me the right way!!! If you ladies or gentlemen haven't tried her service ...It's soooooo worth it!!! It was amazing!!!! I learned so so so much !!! More learning!!! Yay!!! And video was up early !!! I wait every week for your videos. Love ya
Thank you for this. Because of your recommendation I bought a cream blush and while I do love the look on my crepey face, it seems to fade into my skin and after an hour it has disappeared. I've tried setting it with a powder blush and a settling spray, but nothing seems to help. I couldn't find the Nyx in my area so I bought a Revlon one. Thank you so much for all that you do💖
Love your videos and the search option with your channel, makes it sooo easy. I have a few questions for future tutorials: 1) The very basic items to buy when starting or changing make up lines so I'm not investing a fortune in the trial period 2) How to select foundation when in places like Sephora. So many have terrible lighting and frequently very few option for really checking the true color appearance. 3) Powder make up that can be applied wet, is it good and for what. I fell in love with Bare Minerals, it's easy to customize and mix shades. That being said, I know live in a different climate and have 55 year old skin not 40. I know this is a lot but I really trust the way you present products, options, and price points, so I just put it all together for one simple read. Thanks so much for sharing your knowledge. Love you ; )
After watching this video i bought Milk Makeup cream blush and love it! I am 55 and have never tried it. Back in the day about 40 years ago my Mom used Avons brand. Thanks for the tip. I had oily skin before 50 and more it's normal to dry. Love you and your videos!
Elle, you always are spot on. You explain in a very simplistic way the answers we're looking for. Thank you for being the "go to" person for those of us who are more mature! Hugs from Canada!
God , you are so beautiful! My skin as a teenager was horrible and I was teased my whole young life . Now I’m 58 and l have large pores my nose still breaks out I cannot seem to find a good primer that wouldn’t dry my skin out. I’m still looking for a good foundation for my skin. I have large pores on my nose. I use very good skincare but nothing works on my pores. I want a glow to my skin not dry, It effects your self esteem . But your videos has really helped me so much! I appreciate your thoughts and hints and help. Bless you 😊❤️
I absolutely love your tips, tricks, and ideas. You have a true passion for makeup. Drama free. It's very obvious and it shows. Thank you for your informative and positive content. Your a breath of fresh air! ♥️😍😘🥰♥️
Elle absolutely gorgeous blush look! I have never really used a cream blush but since I’m more grown up now, I probably need to start doing so. Thanks so much gorgeous!!💝💝
I have all of the blushes listed in the description box because of you!!! I also have Rose Quartz highlighter based on your recommendation. I absolutely love the way you look in this video. So youthful and glowy!
Hi Elle ! This video was made for me ❤️ I love cream blush ! I was fortunate to have a NARS rep show me a technique to apply their liquid blush ..she used a small stippling brush and a teeeeny bit of product💜. I bought 3 ELF small stippling brushes (3$) and they work fabulous !!!!! Must try the Stila one looks gorgeous on you
Thank you for all your tips! I'm loving that NYX cream blush I'm definitely going to buy it! I'm 45 years old and the past year I've been so obsessed with the changes in my face 😭 everyone tells me how young I look but I guess it just sucks getting older lol...so I appreciated the time you put into these videos ☺
Janette Squires Yes! I'm 45 in August and I've become obsessed with how my skin has changed, just in the last year! I don't think having a 4yr old has helped #firstat40 Thanks Elle!
Thanks girl! This video was a major help to me and my blush needs! Of coarse, there isn’t one of your videos that wasn’t helpful to me! Amazing as always and you look gorgeous! I love your highlights in your hair as well! Can’t wait for the next one! Lots of love! ❤️❤️
I love using cream blushes. I was using the Elf small stipple brush to apply, but recently purchased the Sephora #47 Pro Foundation brush, and I like it so much better. It has a slanted side, which makes it perfect for applying cream blush. I've never tried using a BB sponge, but I can see that it would also work very well. I may have to give that a try!
Thank you! New sub. I’ve been wanting to try more creams now (I’m 58) I am combo skin but feel that the flat matte look isn’t very complimenting anymore 😊👍
Amazing tips-thanks! I've struggled with my cream Stila blush and Glossier gel blushes. I can't believe that just patting on with a beauty blender could make such a difference!
I would love it if you would do a "makeup for glasses" tutorial, not so much eyeshadow, as placement of face products like contour/bronzer/blush/highlight. I struggle with knowing where to put them with my glasses, and it's not as simple as just putting them on like normal, because the frames of the glasses and the shadows cast by the frames change how things look. Thanks so much, love your videos!
Lovely. This vid couldn't have come at a better time as I'm exploring cream and liquid blushes. This helped me immensely. Thanks Elle. You look molto bella
Thank you for doing a cream blush video. I have mature skin and am trying to switch to all cream products. Will you make a video on how to apply cream eyeshadow and what kind of brushes are best with cream products? Thank you
Thank you so much for the great blush tips. Since ive gotten a little bit older I've noticed where I place my blush doesn't work as well. I know tips will help me. You are such a good teacher and a sweetheart! XOXO
Love that glow. As always your videos are the most informative and helpful. I've become a beauty expert by watching all of your awesome videos. I still have a lot to learn so keep them coming. I get very excited when I get a notification that you've posted a video. Thank you for doing what you do! xoxo
Thank you, Elle! I definitely learned a lot about the application of cream blush. I'm going for a natural radiant glowing complexion too! My cheeks have definitely gone south, I'll try the new placement that you just demonstrated.
Great everyday look, I always love cream blushes, they add something to the face. You're loved too Elle 💕 you could just talk and we'd tune in to your videos 💕 glow starts from the inside
I use my clairasonic for my cream blush with the foundation brush,, I love how it blends out so beautifully. I use it for contouring too,, great vid Elle, , xo
OMG!! OMG!! You have the most incredible skin! You are such a babe & your wealth of knowledge is truly amazing. Thank you for sharing, you’re a joy to watch 😉.
I have the NARS cream blush and it does take practice, but I am going to try with the beauty blender because as you showed I think I will have a lot more control. Thanks!🙏🤗
Wow this worked like a charm for me! I’ve always struggled with getting areas of my B.B. Uber Beige on a little heavy in places, this is absolutely the best hack this year. Thank you
I like to rub my firmer stick blushes (Bite Beauty and Nudestix) onto a palette (any flat plastic, glass or metal object will do) and then pick the product up from the palette with a small stippling brush (ELF makes an inexpensive, but good one) and apply with that. It applies the color lightly and evenly and does not disturb my foundation.
i only have two creme blushes and wore once or twice - exactly for the reason you said - this video has helped me to be a little more adventurous - thankyou 😘 so pleased you also did bronzer - i managed to pick up Telluride and excited to use but honestly didn't know how to with creme blush or powder blush for that matter - if it's fine with you that way, it sure is fine by me 😆
I just found you on RU-vid! This is my very first video that I've watched because I'm having trouble with my blush showing up on my cheeks. Even when I think I have a dark color that would show up, or a brighter color that should show up...I don't really see it on my cheeks. I've only noticed this happening the last few weeks. I haven't changed my make up routine. I have an oily t-zone, but my cheeks are never oily. I use a pressed foundation that works excellent with the oily skin and I use a light hand when applying it. Any tips to what the problem could be? I have used lipstick recently to see if that works as a blush on my cheeks and that actually worked quite well. So maybe I must consider a cream blush, like you speak about in your video, than a pressed blush? This was a great video! Thank You for the tips!! :)
Beautiful as usual, Elle! Love the tip about using NARS liquid blush over the cream blush. I’ve been having some difficulty with the liquid but now I think I’ll have more success with this layering technique. So thanks. Very interested in the new Rimmel foundation. Loved their foundation andconcealers in the past. Have a glorious weekend!
Sephora collection has some lovely cream blushes (I think they have them on clearance online only for $5) - very easy to use, very versatile- the coral/orangy one is my favorite..
Thx Elle! Gonna have to chk these out. I used Mac creme blushes for years and they recently discontinued them included was my all time favorite “Ladyblush” since then I’ve been on a hunt to find a replacement with no luck so far!!
Thx Elle ! Lovely on you! Do you think you will ever go all natural and only use 100% pure products? I know you have quite a lot of money invested in products at the moment, but are you trying to find a line of makeup that is only good ingredients for your skin?
Great video, I bought my first cream blush today, tkmax, managed to pick up nars cream blush and Elizabeth arden liquid blush, but it's great to hear nyx is also great, gonna look up your cream. Shadow now as I bought maybelline and e, l, f, cream shadow now I need to learn how to put them on, thank you so much Elle for these videos Elle. 💕
Hey Elle! So glad you did this video! I have been struggling with my bite beauty multi stick! I went straight on my face with it and it was not cute! Beauty blender first! Got it! Will let you know how I did tomorrow! Thx! You look very gorg today! Your skin amazes me! Hugs! Xo💋💋💋
Thank you for using a lower price point product. I’ve been really interested in using a cream but really can’t afford the high end. It’s awesome to see how pretty this can be! Oh and the Becca is on sale!!
Hi Elle, a few questions. 1) does cream blush stay on longer? 2) if your using the same beauty sponge for applying your blush do you use that same sponge the next day again for your foundation? Sorry if someone already asked these questions. Luvs 💟
You read my mind. I love the Stila convertible blush and wondered why no one ever talks about it any more. But you do! Can't wait to try your technique. Thanks!
You always look pretty but you look so pretty on this video. Can you show us how to use the cream sticks. I have a pixie cream blush and I like it, but not sure I am using it correctly. Thank you🌻
I’ve been loving cream blushes lately - I have so many powder blushes I might not even use up 😢 I never thought of mixing formulas, but I have the NARS liquid, just haven’t been reaching for it. I just got the Stila convertible in Petunia (half off) and didn’t like the feeling at first (slow dry down) but like it now. I’m so disappointed brands like Sonia Kashuk discontinued their makeup - I never got around to their cream blush but they had awesome lipsticks and a tinted moisturizer that wasn’t called tinted moisturizer - makes me wonder if it was before their time.
Love that you did blush first. I do this now as well. It helps gauge bronzer, contour, and highlight amounts and placement. You’ll use a lot less of those products with some #elleglow already on the cheeks. The “kids” always do blush last and their faces are so full of product already that blush can’t compete and its just too much. Blush first, contour/bronzer second, highlight last (cream highlighter for me and very little...the little cover fx click stick highlighters are a nice and natural stick cream highlighter). Bravo! Ughhhhh long day and approaching deadline so these vids are such a nice break. Hope your meeting went well. 😉
