ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-KHwpcx4LaWw.html I’m into knots now...this ones pretty cool. Make sure you learn it though cos I had to go through a couple of ad’s to back to this video to tell you. 😁
I live in the desert and wear drawstring shorts 9 months of the year. Have always had a problem with the knot. This is a perfect solution! Very easy to tie, to tighten, to loosen, and to untie. Good instructions! Life is good! Thanks.
That worked perfectly! Thanks! I tied the 'tails' close to the ends in a simple square knot. Now I get all the 'adjustment' from the taught-line hitch and I can also toss the sweatpants in the washer with no worries of any of it coming undone.
This is a midshipman's knot, useful for hanging fenders on the side of a boat. It does tighten up considerably after a few uses so probably a good idea to undo and redo from time to time.
@@Tinker_man no One care's nerd, you can call it a pizza diameter knot or a Ferrari buffalo knot, it doesn't matter, only geek's Care , therefore u are a geek
I so appreciate this video tutorial!! I've been struggling with my drawstring pants for all my 50+ years!!! This is the perfect solution! I'm no longer shying away from drawstring pants. Thank you so much! 👊
Thank you. After trying and failing and various fancy knots tutorials, this works best for me. Very easy to tie. Easily tightened after the knot is done. Is it the best, idk. Does it work? Yes!
great idea BUT for years I have used the Canadian jam knot on all my drawstrings...same idea only a little easier to adjust...tip: tie a bowline on the long end and you immediately know which end to pull
Only adjusts one side of the string. All my kid's pants have the drawstring sewed to the back of the pants. If you adjust only one side the pants bunch up weird on one side. You need to cut the string free so it's one continuous loop, then this knot works good. A view from the perspective of a person wearing the pants would be more helpful. I can now tie my kid's pants for him, but he can't do it himself...
This is fantastic! My skinny, tall son has a terrible time with keeping drawstring pants up. I REALLY appreciate you taking the time to make this video!
Thanks so much didn’t get it at first but after rewatching it’s easy! Thanks so much had so many shorts that are to big. with this technique I can wear all the shorts I used to wear when I was chunky wish I found this sooner. Give you a big thumbs up!
The two loops on the outside instead of the inside (that places them in the direction of the load). You can also try crossing those loops (like a midshipman's hitch) for additional friction. But great idea, thank you.
THANK YOU !!! i just got these new shorts for the summer and i couldn't figure out how to tie the strings without creating a huge bump w the knot but ur tutorial helped me!
Thanks so much I’m such an idiot I tried this a few years back and couldn’t use it properly till I found a video showing it right in the pants, works perfect wven walking on the beach with phone and water bottle etc.
Almost great but if you tie a Canadian jam knot in your drawstring it works better. Trust me. Try it out with a piece of rope around your waist and see how it works
