Actually, this is a lot cleaner than Rome was. Furthermore, there's no way you could possibly convey the absolute reek of the place. And the poorer Romans probably didn't have that many possessions -- especially furniture. But the video gave some idea of how busy things were.
Actually, the Toga was DESIGNED to be impractical. This means that the wearer could not even put it on properly without help - and the helplessness was a sign one could afford help.
@@deborahberger5816 Worse. A dress is stable - a Toga is not. It is essentially a bedlinen - and it was supposed to rest behind one of the shoulders. If you moved the arms - it needed adjustment, so you essentially had to have a slave with you to occasionally adjust your Toga.
