For healthcare...Malaysian only pay rm1 for general healthcare....and rm5 for Specialist treatment....and we have millions of people come here for Health Tourism....

You do realize that is not sustainable? When oil revenue starts to deplete, subsidizing healthcare is no longer feasible. Same with when population starts to age, you will see healthcare system being overwhelmed.

Yes the cost maybe low in the public hospital systems but health care for serious sickness is a bit wanting😮 thus most people have private insurance for private hospital care

The reason for high obesity is not the oil in the food, because only certain type of foods in Malaysia is cooked in lots of oil. The main reason is that quite a number of Malaysians like sweet food and sweet drinks and a habit to eat lots of rice which is a type of carbohydrates. These reasons push up the obesity ratio in the country.

I agree. Take cars for example. A RM 50K Proton will cost a Malaysian earning RM3000/month nearly 17 months' pay. An AUD 30K imported KIA will cost an Aussie earning basic pay just 8 months of pay. Without subsidies Malaysians will understand the meanings of work and living.

Btw, Malaysian food has many varieties and choices.. For example Nasi Lemak is a complete balance and nutritious food with protein, vitamins, minerals fibre, carbohydrates etc and coconut milk is good for health.. others like laksa, mee rebus, mee sup, tomyam, Yong tow Fu, Nasi Kerabu, lontong, rojak and kuehs like popia basah, Kueh kaswee, Kueh ketayap, Kueh talam and many more are not too heavy with fat or sugar.. nowadays vendors selling less sweet kuehs compared to last time.. The reason people are getting fat is that they lack of exercise and some other factors..

I dont agree with everything you say.Malaysians struggle with obesity because: Tasty but Unhealthy Food: A lot of popular dishes are high in calories, fats, and sugar. Less Active Lifestyles: With more people living in cities, many are less active and sit around more. Easy Access to Junk Food: Fast food and sugary drinks are cheap and everywhere. Food-Centered Culture: Social events often revolve around eating, making it hard to avoid unhealthy choices. Unfortunately, there isn't enough education on healthy eating.

You can hire a full time domestic helper for less than rm2k a month in malaysia. Hard to do that in australia. Food delivery is fast and cheap in malaysia. I heard its pretty bad in australia. Australia higher education is better than malaysia in terms of quality. Even though medical is free in australia, but you need to wait and pay tax for it. As for malaysia clinics, super convenient and affordable.

Yea 2K sounds very realistic... In terms of food delivery, KL is HORRIBLE. Grab takes a minimum of 45 mins (at least from where I live). Australia was tons better. I used to get beaten up by both teachers and students lol.

@@adriannoniss I think its where you stay lol. Also, Grab on weekends and rainy evenings? Fergettt it. Might as well fry an egg at home. I thrived in the Malaysian school system but likely cause I was the (clever) hooligan lol. Agree good Bahasa is important to assimilate within the Kebangsaan system. My kids are doing IGCSE and A Levels but we are unfortunately paying thru our noses. Hvng said that, I know many who are industry leaders that graduated on the local system, so it depends on your environment, school choice and the parenting/familial upbringing you get. Medical in Malaysia is not free, but way cheaper than the West generally, esp medical coverage cost. Cant compare to Aussie, but if you are American, medical here is way more affordable and private hosptals are just as good. Good vid, and welcome back!

A wonderful comparison between Malaysia and Australia highlights the unique aspects of both countries. Malaysia, with its rich cultural diversity, vibrant cities, and stunning tropical landscapes, offers a fusion of traditions and modernity. On the other hand, Australia, known for its vast outback, pristine beaches, and cosmopolitan cities, combines a laid-back lifestyle with a deep appreciation for nature. While Malaysia's cuisine is a tantalizing blend of flavors from its multicultural heritage, Australia's culinary scene reflects its diverse population with a global twist. Both nations, despite their differences, share a warm, welcoming spirit and a love for the natural beauty that defines them. Keep on sharing.
