This is a very difficult film to make but you have made a beautiful story of how it really is in Dolpo. I made this journey with Iman Lama in 2002 so it was enjoyable to see the scenery and people again. Thanks Bhuchung Ur.

In its simplicity they remind us the meaning of life that is hard but inside they look happy and grate for what they have .We have to learn to them. It made me reflect a lot ...🙏JGD
God bless all those people, God help them to keep the tradition alive, help them survive the hardships, and make them strong and keep them away from the Western secular society.
Awesome people , who retain a compassionate strong community in a challenging region. ❤ Thanks so much for uploading and giving viewers the chance to see, and be inspired by, this way of life . 🙏
One thing that makes me admire the Nepalese people is that they have a difficult life and lack of material things, they have to live under harsh weather but they still try and become honest and happy people.
DOCUMENTARY AND CINEMATOGRAPHY ARE AMAZING! LIFE AND HARDSHIPS RAISING FAMILIES AND YAKS FROM THIS UNFORGIVING PIECE ON EARTH IS WELL BEYOND IMAGINATION! MY HAT GOES TO DEEP APPRECIATION TO THE CREWS WHO MADE THIS FILM POSSIBLE AND TO THE JOURNEY fROM TREACHEROUS TRAILS BY THE NATIVES AND THE YAKS.
I have a friend from Dolpo so thanks for posting this. It's place I would have loved to have visited. I was initially made aware of Dolpo from Peter Matthiessen's book The Snow Leopard🙏

Great piece of true story of the people who lives in the deep Himalayan mountains and we should consider ourselves very lucky comparing them to us. Really thank God we don't have to struggle like them to survive. May God bless them always.
What can I say,the range of emotions that ran through me,watching this magnificent documentary has been extraordinary. Sorrow at the loss of the father, wonder at the spectacular scenery, sdmiration for the courage of all the people and the animals, fear at some of the treacherous passes they had to cross, the courage and stamina of the women and children,in awe of this man's care and leadership to get them all to safety, especially with the loss of his beloved father and mentor. The best documentary about himalayas I have ever seen,it's been breathtaking

What a heartfelt documentary - I lived with the family during the trek, it was so real, and the loss of his father was felt in my heart. I wish The Lord's Blessings for his family and the people who share in his life. Thank you so much for sharing this journey with us.
I did enjoy this video. My condolences on the death of your Father. Your way of life is hard but you do have many pluses we in the West don't. Your air, water, simplicity have a purity. Huricot seemed the ideal spot - couldn't you move from Ringmo permanently? Your children women and yaks all seem healthy well done. Warmest regards to all (UK) 😊
Even though their life is really hard, lasting happiness and contentment do not seem to be found in the material world. This shows us the consequences of greed and ignorance. The destruction of nature and wars as a result of striving for more money and power are just a few of them. Thank you for this wonderful film. My trip to the Dolpas also changed my perspective on life. Om Ah Hum Vajra Guru Padma Siddhi Hum
Wonderful, Wonderful. Excellent, Excellent👍💯👍 . I love to the Himalaya. Love, Love, Love, Love, Love Love, Love, Love. To You Himalaya. 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏💙🧡❤🧡💙❤💜🧡💙💔🧡💙❤🧡💙💜💚❤💙🧡💙🧡💙🧡💙🧡👍🌎👈
estos reportajes , dan vida a las persona que aman la naturaleza y lo que significa el conservar dicha naturaleza y tradiciones de la vida mias sincero agradecimiento a todos los que participaron en dicho reportaje
I don't feel this is a film to be sad about. Nature in the raw is for sure a tough master. But they are never alone with their problems, family and friends are there always to share life's triumphs and tragedies. Many in the West would want this harmonious and shared experience where each has a role, no one is left out, everyone is included. Parents and children with an unbreakable bond of love, respect and trust. I'm not sad...a bit envious, truly.
Around the 35:40 mark, when they’re leaving Ringmo, I caught a glimpse of one yak who’s carrying a whitish bag named Purina. Absolutely, an awesome video about some very hard working, hard living People, but that Purina-glimpse gave me a chuckle. : )
You didn't have to play the new age music so loud, especially when there were local sounds and ritual instruments concurrently. Nevertheless, thank you for providing the footage and narration.
