Your love for Cleo was one of the things that stood out to me when I first discovered your channel. Like it just radiated off of my screen, it's so sweet.

Our pets are our kids, don't apologize for being emotional. Sending you both the best healing energy. She might be having a hard time because she is losing her eyesight while still getting accustomed to a new place. Not just a new home, but a new neighborhood where everything is new and unfamiliar to her. Try to build a repetitive routine/walk for her, so she can start to build her confidence. Try to walk her in open, easy spaces so she doesn't bump into too many things or where the terrain might be a bit challenging for her. If she is afraid to jump on/off the sofa or bed, a pet ramp or sofa stair might help her too. Better that than to have her jump on or off and get hurt. Fingers crossed the surgery helps her, if she is a good candidate for it! and Happy Birthday!!!!

I was crying with you when you were telling us about Cleo. I also was saying a prayer for you both. I pray that the surgery will help his sight. Please keep us all posted. 🙏🐶

I totally understand feeling so sad for your dog. My dog had heart worms and I cried a lot seeing changes in his mood but thankfully I was able to raise funds for his treatment and his he’s fine. I hope she’ll be okay! Sending positive vibes ❤

Girl! The cataract surgery will be so worth it if little Cleo can see and bring you so much comfort knowing you did what you could for her senior years. I had a shihtzu that somehow got a massive infection to his cornea. Mind you I was traveling for work in Washington state and I lived in Georgia at the time. My husband panicked and called me. Long story short my hubby drove to Jacksonville, Fl to an eye specialist for animals to do emergency surgery. A couple of thousand dollars on my Am Ex later my Junior's eye was saved and he passed away with his sight intact. So worth it to me and I totally get how you feel. No shame in feeling distressed over your baby. Breathe and believe that Cleo will do well with some of her sight reclaimed. Plenty of elderly humans get cataracts removed, same for pets. Love your vlogs and have been watching you since your time in Hawaii right after you graduated college. Please let us know what the vet recommend for Cleo and what you decided to do.

Aw, so sorry to hear about Cleo! I hope all goes well. It reminds me of when my old dog started getting seizures 😢 it’s so hard when they’re suffering and you feel like you can’t help them. Sending prayers!

Placing items that are familiar and have her scent on them will help her feel more at ease with the new environment. She's having a bit more trouble and probably it is making her a little more afraid 😔 remember you are in a new environment and all the places she was comfortable with are not there anymore, you walked her there a lot and she got comfortable in that environment. She will get used to it overtime and it may take her a bit longer since her eyesight is failing. This is not your fault, it is not her fault. You don't have to feel sad or guilty. You and her are adjusting the best way you can. Take it all one day at a time. I will pray for you both 😀 She knows that you are there, she feels safe with you. She is lucky to have you, she is an amazing little girl.

I hope things go well this week with Cleo at the Dr’s. With her loss of vision her sense of smell and hearing could be heightened, maybe a stroller would be nice for her for walks in the meantime? It gives her more room and comfort as she smells all her favorite places. ❤

Hello Adrienne- it's hard being an older pet parent - the hard decisions make us cry because we know they trust and love us unconditionally no matter what those decision outcomes maybe. But know no one knows and loves Cleo like you - follow your heart but trust your head to do the right thing. 💞

It’s so heartbreaking when our pups don’t feel well or are scared. They look to us for protection and it’s such a gutting feeling seeing them struggle and not being able to help them right away. You’re an amazing dog mom and Chleo is so lucky to have you.

I feel what you're going through 1st hand. While her site is what it is, make sure you don't move her belongings around (food and water dishes, toys, her bed). This way she at least will be confident enough to get to them. When you're outside, just keep reassuring her that you are there. Everything will turn out fine. Keeping you both in my prayers!!!

Animals are our babies. I just had to say goodbye to my kitty after 15 years together and my cancer treatment. It's so scary and emotional. It just means that you care about Cleo.

About the milk. 3,2% UHT if you have one in Korea. I use it to steam it to my coffee or matcha. We do have 3,2%, 2% even 0,5% but that taste like white water ;p

I think the biggest mistake a lot of foreigners make coming to Korea is teaching. I graduated in education and my first teaching job was in Korea. I met lots of foreigners that come to Korea to teach but had no passion for it and just wanted to be live in Korea. They hated their jobs and at the end of the day the students are the ones that are mostly effected :/ I tell friends that love Korea and want to experience it to just travel there before moving.
