I had surgery so I’m just watching through all Michelle’s videos from the beginning and it’s so interesting to see how she’s grown as a person. It’s also really fascinating to see her friendships back then vs. now. I feel like her friends now are so much more supportive and kind. Not that I can see all the depth of these friendships but it low key seems like this girl puts Michelle down with small comments and like they feel awkward together rather than having fun. I could be wrong, but I’m just really happy to see her where she is now, with the people she’s with, and being more open about mental health and well-being. Keep going Michelle👌🏽☺️

@Michelle Choi A tip my friend gave me is to drink a cup of water before you start drinking and after you're done drinking. Also take a few sips of water in-between drinks. To this day I've never gotten a hangover even when I drink a lot.

Totes know what you mean about the hangovers/difficulty waking the day after drinking when you hit your middle twenties. Happened to me recently too! The key is being amply hydrated during and after drinking. I would always have a glass of water on hand with every drink- makes a world of difference. ☺ (If you're interested, the mechanism of alcohol-related headaches is usually due to dehydration causing your meninges to wrap tighter or "shrink" around your brain which has lost a bit of its water and hence its size, to put it simply.) Im the same way now as well ! I just turned 24 last month and whenever I go out from a night of drinking it takes me like a whole day to recover from a hangover. Maybe a part of getting old, it definitely hurts more !

for ur hangovers its probably just a tolerance difference. when I lived in europe, we drank more consistently and then when i came back to the states, i could handle less alcohol or would get more headaches the day after,,,

so i’m 28 now and i don’t get drunk anymore because my hangover will last for 2-3 days. younger days i was completely fine the next day, after 23 is when i started getting headaches the next morning. around 25 is when i would lay sick in bed for half the day and after 27 is when it felt like DEATH- at least one full day in bed and a couple of days feeling groggy, soooo getting old is fun 😁

Omg yes I totally feel you! When I was 20 I could drink till 4am and still wake up for morning class the next day. But now that I’m 23, it takes almost an entire day of rest for my hangover to be cured

Omg, I can relate soooo much. Even when I did get hangovers, I would be okay in a few hours but now, my hangovers last the entire day. It's crazy. I've learned though that eating before sleeping and drinking pedialyte/gatorade really helps. Soaks it all up lollll

to address your question about getting real bad hangovers as you get older, i have another experience. im in my late 20s and when i was younger, i dont get bad cramps. but now, i couldnt get past heavy days without having pain relievers or else i pass out. could be our bodies getting older. haha

Me and my friends are the same age as you and for all of them it is the same way as you, epic hangovers as they’ve gotten older but for me it is the other way round, now from the age of like 22 I get really almost no hangovers but when I was like 18 they were brutal.

I'm 23 too and Polish. My experience hanging out with my friends that are of any Asian origin is that most of them have huge hangovers... so maybe it really depends on genes in the end. 🤣 myself I had headache for maybe a handful of times so far.

My worst hangover happened to me last summer lol. I had to go to the hospital to stop my vomiting. Yikes. Don’t play drinking games kids :/ so I totally agree that after certain age my tolerance of alcohol gets really bad. Love your vlogs Michelle!

I'm also 23 and I can't handle alcohol well at all. I was never really good at it but when I was younger I could at least have a few glasses (not mixing though) and would be fine the next day. Now I have like 3 glasses and am totally hungover the next day ugh ...
