Thanks for the insight guys, very interesting. Here in the UK we're not noticing any shortages of food or drink (at the moment), but prices have gone up here too, including for petrol, gas and electricity. Inflation is officially running at about 8%, but in reality it is higher. Just this week I have noticed in Lidl that grated (250g) cheese has increased from £2.49 to £2.75 - a 10% increase from one day to the next. Other items I've noticed have increased by as much as 30% in the last couple of months (sorry I can't think of examples), but many other items have stayed about the same, like bread, meats, fruit, vegetables etc. Ok they may have gone up 5% or so, but nothing too badly. But the supermarkets have definitely been taking advantage of the situation. This is all from my experience as the shopper in our family. I have noticed some things selling out, like pasta and rice (I think some people know what's coming), but nothing else really, but that will change I think. I have started stocking up again, while things are still plentiful and relatively cheap. Sadly, I think things are going to get progressively worse, very quickly, throughout the world. I don't give a shite what people think, this has all happened by design. Planned, caused and encouraged by The Powers That Be. No coincidence. Just like the last 2 years, every country is doing the same thing, at the same time, with the same results. Really makes you think.

This has been an enthralling video. I guess we get the pulse of an economy quite realistically from looking at the malls ( cars parked , shopping cart loads , the lighting and escalators turned off, and reduced trading hours commence ). Another apparent indicator in the 1930s was freight train lengths and frequency. We can't forget to t a ke note of the number of cranes in the cities as an indicator of optimism and prosperity . The top man has alway been psychopathic. We saw it for the kursk disaster in murmansk. The Chechnya affair was criminal. We kept our fingers crossed and hoped for the best , then journalists began to disappear. Russia could've had a prosperous thriving economy along with a new age of enlightenment but something held everything backwards.

I'm going to try and be careful with how I phrase this comment. Be careful with simplistic lines of thinking like this. There does seem to be some truth in the idea that populations often get the governments they deserve. It's easy to say that in regards to democracies, but this can often be the case with authoritarian states also. I appreciate how much of a brutal thing that is to say when you consider some of the governments that have existed, and do exist. I'm not naive to that. Ultimately collectives are comprised of individuals, and if every individual acts as if they can do nothing but crawl into their little hole; nothing improves. If every individual acts as though their actions matter, the situation can improve. It's a strange scenario, where, on one hand, you kind of are irrelevant and inconsequential as an individual - but on the other hand, by acting in defiance of that, you allow the chance for people just like you to change the world through your collective effort. The individual human being is the ultimate foundational piece of the largest social structures we have. We are dwarfed by them - but we comprise them. While there are situations where it's just "their" fault - we should always ask how it is our own fault first. Sometimes we enable bad people. It's easy to blame "that guy over there"; but difficult to blame yourself. “The line separating good and evil passes not through states, nor between classes, nor between political parties either - but right through every human heart.” Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn

A famous AI once said In the land of Russia, there was a man His name was Putin, a leader with a plan Some called him strong, others a tyrant For he ruled with an iron fist, quite defiant His eyes were cold, his voice so stern And he would not hesitate, to make others learn Some say he's cunning, others say sly But one thing's for sure, he's not a nice guy His critics disappear, without a trace And his enemies tremble, just seeing his face He's been accused of many things, quite a few And yet he still remains, in power anew Some say he's a hero, others a villain But one thing's for sure, he's quite chillin' So let us watch him, from near and far For Putin, the infamous, is a true czar.

Not being a politician, honesty dictates: when a “brother” invades a home, the parents of a little girl hide her in a garbage can. Here she can hear her father being tortured and killed, her mother attacked and killed, and her brother forcibly taken to an undisclosed location in Russian territory. Governments begin and end wars. But wars are fought by individuals - person to person. And many victims will never call Russia “brother.” 2/3 of all Ukrainian children are refugees; i.e. homeless. Russians make very poor brothers.

The worst part is seeing America politicans try to be friendly to Russia, only for Russian politicians to completely shut them down every single second. Its insanity sometimes. Letting Americans awkwardly march on the red square for V day celebrations was honestly supposed to be a landmark in human history. Russia and America are basically next door neighbhors. Its such a shame sometimes.

Something that I didn't hear mentioned in this piece, is that a lot of the people who were shopping in these more expensive places in Russia probably worked for western companies who have left Russia, so they no longer have the income to shop all the time. Some of them also probably left the country. It's really such a shame because Russia just until recently did have a lot of middle-class people living pretty well.

FWIW, most American brand stores outside the US are franchises owned by local companies, and the same goes for some European brands in Russia and the US. Whether or not stores are open or closed depend mostly on who owns the franchise for that brand, and not where the brand originates. So a lot of the open stores you show are likely owned by Russian companies, as EU and US/Canadian companies are banned from doing business with Russia. Stores like LEGO stay open because the store owner ignores the order to close. And 11:45 "buying products in China" means buying bootleg products, which in turn means the stores that do that will not be able to resume business with the original brands when the trade ban is lifted

You have put into words how many people especially here in Britain feel about the nightmare happening in Ukraine. We feel so helpless about the situation. Our parents had to live here when the Nazis (the real ones) were blitzing our beloved country whilst most of our men were fighting overseas, many of them never returned. Ukraine didn't ask to have their lives shattered, innocent people being thrown into mass graves, women being raped and life savings stolen & their houses destroyed along with precious memories. Thank you for showing us your reality and let's hope the Russian people will eventually get the courage to call the Kremlin to account, very soon. 🙏🏻🇺🇦🇬🇧

So someone with a wolfsangel, Hitler salute, swastika flag, torch, fairy tale, to pay homage to a Nazi perpetrator, don't you think that's Nazis? And also with the statement that Jews or Russians are not people. For you, these are not Nazis? Since 2014, every European and world reputable media has reported about the nationalist and corrupt side of Ukraine, this is attached via public broadcasting in Germany, BBC, aljazeera, time, Spiegel, Amnesty International etc.... Coincidentally, these have reported 2,014 to 2,022 over the nationalist Ukraine, and now all at once in three months we hear nothing and suddenly it is said that it all Russian propaganda. How strange. Should I send you the full link? The stupid is RU-vid would then delete the comment.
