A visual journal of my life as an exchange student abroad or Erasmus+ exchange in the Czech Republic - Tomas Bata University in Zlin - during Summer Semester 2019.
This is how my day-to-day looks like. Usual cooking with friends, grocery shopping, going for a picnic up the hill, watching the sunsets 🥺 A memorable experience with incredible people.
This film is meant to be a mini-documentary, as well as to inspire those who are thinking of studying abroad or doing an exchange study anywhere in the world. Have fun! Live your life to the fullest, but remember to take care of yourself. Read my journal here: putriardhia.co... :)

Glad you enjoyed your time, international students are one of the main things bringing us closer to the outer world. Zlín is a unique city for the whole Central European region, even though our society is generally very introverting because of the past, people like you are making the change. Can't thank you enough by words. Very pleased that you've choosen Zlín and moreso Czechia.

Hello, Putri. This video really brings me back to 2018 when I was an exchange student at UTB. It was really a joy to behold. I stayed at the same building (U12) and it feels very nostalgic when I see your videos! Quick question: Billa or Kaufland? (Mr. Zdenek from the Czech Language class would prefer Kaufland 😂) Anyway, bagus videonya!

My wife is from Zlin. Our 1st 3 kids were born in nearby in Valasske Mezirici. We haven't been back for 4 years. Missing the place. With what's happening there now we wonder if we ever will.get back.

For me, yes! It's an experience to meet others from different cultural backgrounds. They have buddies for international students: They help you settle and engage in activities. Sometimes, they arrange travel plans with other international students. The courses offered are vast, the professors have practical approaches in their teaching, and campus facilities are more than sufficient! As an international student, I can also participate in activities or exhibitions that they are holding (i.e. Career Fair). They also have gym, cafeteria, lovely library, and such. Major win is that the Czech Republic has Koruna currency, so it is way cheaper than countries with Euro. Overall, it's worth it! :)

@@samedalesaei I think it's just the naming - Faculty of Applied Informatics. What matters is the subject you choose. From my home university, I'm majoring in Computer Science, but I get to choose subjects from that faculty :)
