How many days do they have to spend every year in a firehouse? Don't they go their home or anything?

She said "Men are given a certain amount of respect and expectations...and as women we have to earn it." Lmao, men are definitely not automatically given respect in this job. Do women have to maybe work a little harder to prove themselves, especially when it comes to the more physical oriented skills? Yes, undeniably. But the idea that men don't have to earn their keep is not true at all. Senior guys and gals put rookies under a microscope non stop. And even beyond probation, you're constantly being judged by everyone at all times, regardless of gender.
