A last minute hike to North Cascades National Park. Amazing views.
I was shocked of the beauty of this national park, as I haven't heard many people talk about it. It was so beautiful and there were so many hikes to conquer, lakes to plunge in, and amazing views. It was all meant to be for us... as we got on the road later than expected after a night out at the Chateau listening to Ray LaMontagne and Gregory Alan Isakov at the vineyard. and then having prom night after and drinking too much wine. But, nevertheless, we made it to north cascades park, fully expecting to have to camp outside of the cascades or in the car as we did not have a reservation. But God had another plan for us. He gifted us with a empty and unreserved campground right next to Diablo lake, and when we set our tent down, there was a family cooking dinner there. They talked with us and gave us dinner and it was such a blessing. Later on, we met a solo female traveler who just got back from living all over South America....how cool is that!? It's the people you meet and the views you get to take in whilst traveling that make it so addictive and beautiful. Cheers to travel and the gorgeous Pacific Northwest!
