A lot of the hints alluding to Jefferson comes from his speech. As well as the intricate set up of photography. As well as his responses to max when asked about certain classmates. As if he has already had interactions with them. Someone's comment below referred to how he stated "I can put any of you in a dark corner, and capture you In a moment of desperation..." That was one of our first indications. I think his connections with the Vortex club are only hinted at, but by understanding that majority of the people involved are either in the vortext club, associated with it, or there for the photography, It starts to narrow things down.
