You need a bigger rug for proportion. Rule of thumb, hav at least 1-2 ft on each end of sofa. If you don't want an accent chair or don't have the space, go for at least a 8x11 or 9x12. If you do you can pull the rug all the way to the wall and still have some out and not trip over it.

For two weeks, I kept getting bit by mosquitoes. Once was on the tip of my middle finger, another on my ankle. I was like how? I keep calamine lotion always on hand. Glad you got moved.

To get the rug to lay flat, I heard you are supposed to put an ice cube on the edge and after it melts put something heavy on the edge and it will lay flat

I know you don't want to layer, but I think layering it with a bigger jute rug would be cute. That way, it wouldn't take away from your statement rug. I do love the setup, though. Congrats on a successful move. 💜

Cute apt. I feel like after I turned 30 my body handles stress way more physically. Like bad pain. I usually take a non drowsy allergy pill when my mosquito bites swell up. Also maybe an air purifier since you have been waking up stuffy. It might help.

I’m happy that you’re in your new place. The getting ready to move and then the actual move is a Lot! It’s physically and mentally draining. When you pretty much have the everything in it’s place you should do a spa day. The facial or massage, or all of the above.
