This was filmed in January 21 I believe....Nice bit of winter sun....and snow!

I terms of bike riding terrain there were bits of that just as gnarly as anything in the Alps. Not as exposed if you get it wrong and not as much descent in one go but if you've got good uplifts that's a good thing ;-) Edit: TBF once you get past about 30m of exposure above a vert drop it doesn't matter how high it is, you will die. Edit Edit: 10m above a vertical drop is usually very serious if not life changing or fatal and that's assuming you stop after 10m!

Basic…you dont throw stones/rocks down slopes…might be other MTBers down there or other people/wildlife…durr

I do agree with you in almost all circumstances, However we were SO remote the chance of anything being down there was 0.01%. This was no bike park or trail centre, we were in the spanish outback chucking pebbles into a dried up river bed.

If you don’t like dusty, loose, rocky, exposed, long, fast descents then this is not the place for you, some of them trails look pretty brutal and definitely will beat you and your bike up, and take plenty of spares with you 👊

@@MtbTrailHub always ride with Freeride Madeira awsome group of guys uplifts all day long they can sort accommodation out and pick up from airport too if you need it and it is easy to get about by yourself if you want a day riding by yourself
