A young man who survives a disaster at sea is hurtled into an epic journey of adventure and discovery. While cast away, he forms an unexpected connection with another survivor: a fearsome Bengal tiger.
Such a sad ending for that beautiful Zoo. It's all now in Pi's memories. Happens to the best of us. A memory that once felted real now feels like a dream.
My father was stationed in India in the British Army where I was born in 1946 and when I hear this beautiful music it takes me right back to my childhood for which I am eternally grateful.
This theme song "Pi's Lullaby" won the 2013 Academy Award. And, I think it's the only movie theme song that was so beautiful it made me cry. 😭"Life of Pi" went on to win 9 other Academy Awards as well. One of them, of course, for best picture. 😊
Actually it was nominated for Best Original Song, but it did not win. Life of Pi won 4 awards that night. Best Picture controversially went to Argo instead of Life of Pi.
For me it happens because of two factors. Mostly Nostalgia. Knowing what happened to the zoo. The third one is that despite not understanding the language you can feel this lullaby close to you
One coincidental thing I noticed is that when they show the giraffe, a red fox pops out of a bush, and then the words Fox 2000 Pictures appear! That’s two foxes at once!
Wow thats so beautiful , it actually makes me think if I would want to die I would die watching something pretty like this movie or maybe even the real stuff ,dying while watching the beautiful scenery of a mountain valley. That would be my perfect last moments death wish.
Does anyone know the name of this song? My grandmother used to sing this to me as a lullaby (way before Life of Pi was released) and I can't find it anywhere
Excepto pi Richard Parker y los animales que los acompañaban solo que la hiena mato a la zebra y al orangután pero en la vida real también pasa así es la naturaleza los carnívoros para sobrevivir matan a otros animales
