This video is about our last cruise "A Glimpse of Fall" aboard Regent Seven Seas Mariner to Canada and New England. The highlight of the cruise was definitely the food so in this video you will see a lot of food and drinks passing by. About the suite, however, we were not so satisfied and not worthy of being called a luxury cruise line. The video also includes short sections about the activities we did at each port of call. @@FrederikClaessens I actually watched it twice! Once on my 4K PC monitor and then with my wife on our Sony HDR OLED 77 in in the living room. Simply amazing. Another cruise video:) Love how the server skillfully deboned the fish. Somehow though it felt this ship did not have the understated aura the other ships did- Silversea Muse and Silver Moon, for example, which I loved very much. Thanks for taking us to the ports.

Yes you are right, we enjoyed this cruise a lot but prefer the atmosphere of the Silver Moon, you're very attentive!

Thanks for posting this! We are embarking on the same ship in two weeks. Great to see a preview. How did you get your second reservation in the specialty restaurants? Cheers

There is a small reservation desk in the hallway by the coffee connection. First thing we did upon arrival was to make extra reservations. Also we kept checking daily as we passed by the desk to see if any table had become available, it worked out another two times. Another thing is that we could only make reservations late. Only 8-8.30pm was possible. We were able to make a reservation 3 times at Chartreuse and twice at Prime7. Prime7 was quickly fully booked, even the late seatings. Too bad because Prime7 was our favorite restaurant! We would have loved to eat the Porterhouse Steak one more time but this did not work out. So my advice, go immediatly to the reservation desk and see what's available, especially for Prime7.

Thank you for the heart warming pictures you sent me and nice comment here. About Regent. Regent is supposed to be first class. However, old bathroom (with shower in tub) and bad mattress are normally basic things so I can't call Regent first class. Queues to get a seat in the buffet restaurant I also found strange for a luxury cruise line. Everything else was excellent but not above excellent like the service at SilverSea. Not sure we'll sail again with Regent, maybe a different ship as the Mariner is the oldest of the fleet.

Yes all so called luxury cruise lines have its own small issues... that's same with life, perfect doesn't exist. And each cruise from the same company will also differ in the little things depending on ship age, cruise director.... . But in general, you should be (more then) fine with both.

I was looking forward to this video because I will be cruising on the Mariner in 2 weeks, but I was disappointed that I was unable to even read the menu. I could see you guys eating, but there was just background music, no explanation whatsoever. Too bad
