Everything in Banff is expensive, even now street parking in town is very limited and costs money, I think $2 per hour. On a public holiday Banff is more packed than New York Times Square.

The US shares the longest unmanned border in the world with Canada, and there's no fighting. Maybe look up the largest bodies of fresh water in the world, The Great Lakes of North America. The US and Canada have borders near or on those. Have you heard of any land grabs? China has multiple border disputes and land grabs.

@inhtrubngkien3745 - I was from the U.S. but am living in Australia now. I will not go back to the U.S. even though I have relatives, friends and family there. Although many Americans are nice, friendly,. good people, there are also a lot who are not and many who unfortunately, do not tolerate foreigners especially if you are not a "white" European. In many U.S. cities, violence and crime is quite endemic which is why many people there own firearms for personal protection - because the police are often not expected to be of assistance. Depending on which city you go to, some are full of homeless people living in tents and some have plenty of drug addicts. There are places in some cities where even the police do not want to go to. There is no social medical care and if you are visiting, it would be wise to take up a medical insurance policy that will cover you for up to USD$1 million because U.S. health services are very expensive - especially if you come down sick while there. I used to like the U.S - 70 - 80 years ago but it has changed, not for the better and going downhill. There is no worthwhile public transport system, unlike China or Singapore. Everyone is expected to have a car and drive to get to anywhere they want to go. The U.S. is a big country - like China - but getting around is difficult unless you have your own transport. I don't mean to scare you but if you are brave enough and you know people there who cn show you around, it may be worthwhile to visit. However, my word of caution is - do not ever go wandering around places unfamiliar, on your own by yourself. Visit the U.S. if you must but be careful.

I really want to earn more money and go back to my home country after saving enough for the rest of my life. If you can find a good paying job and able to save 50% you maybe able to reach your goal. But that means you may have to live in poor and dangerous areas where you may lose your life. Or if eat poorly and you may end up with a life threatening illness and you are not covered by insurance.
