From 1 million people in an entire province to 7.5 million in just the city creates both frustration and adventure. Absolutely right. China is like another planet. A beautiful planet. Returning to the UK is like returning to a third world country where nothing works and you don't dare to walk the streets at night. Can't wait to go back and stay with my wonderful Chinese friends in Shanghai. So there you have it.

I agree with you. We need to continue to show the difference because Americans don’t know anything about China. When I was in high school I took Chinese class and wanted to go to China as an exchange student, but my parents refused and told me the reason why it is because they are communist and the government will arrest me and sell my organs. I went to China about eight years ago and it was very beautiful infrastructure was developing and I loved it. And we just went there recently to visit family and I’m amazed on how much progress that first tier cities like Guangzhou is developing. The metro is awesome. Transportation, splendid, no crime no drugs, and very safe. Keep up your great work.

I am counting the days (28) until I get back to China. China is now giving tourist visa's that are good for 10 years, each stay is good for 90 days but you don't need to get a new visa every year.
China offer delicious cheap food and everything is so cheap. I remember the first time i went to Guangzhou, China with my brother and sister. We were so excited and we wanted to buy everything and sell it in our country

Government spending does NOT equate to high inflation. What increases inflation is corporations increasing prices of services, food, etc. This is the Capitalist system. Look at the record profits gas & electricity companies are making in the west. And supermarkets are making huge profits. It's the corporations who are driving up inflation, not government spending. But in China, the government controls these services. Food is heavily subsidised by the government. As is the transport network. And all of the utility companies are government run. As are most businesses. Inflation is more controllable in a Communist system due to the fact that the government can, and does, price control these services. In the West, with its Capitalist system, they cannot control corporations......

It is 5-aug We have been for 2 weeks in China now on a 15 day free visa, today we went to Vietnam for 1 day to get my stamp. The customs officer of Vietnam had never heard of this and initially did not want to let me through, but after I explained it, it turned out fine. Now the next 15 days in China, delicious Vietnamese food. Hotel packed, another day tomorrow.
Look Sir you have a point except if the US had the same government debt to GDP the US would have to spend another 35 trillion on infustructure. Obviously China has spent far more money than the US and China does not act as the world police or support world organisations that help everyone. Put it in perspective.
