I was homeless from 99-2001, when I finally had enough of being cheated,stolen from and being on drugs and booze I finally reached out to AA,as many organizations I could to get help. Working hard as a laborer at a roofing job I was able to get into a Halfway House that had rules ,curfew, and random drug tests. The owner let me use his safe to save up a good portion of each paycheck after a year I moved into an apartment with someone from the H.House that was also on the right track. Fast forward to 2017 I have a daughter that was planned a wife am a home and business owner none of it was easy. When I look back it was easier living on the streets asking people for their hard earned money, but easy is never fulfilling. If you want change you have to reach out and I don't mean for somebody's loose change. YOU CAN DO IT

This video makes me so sad and I just hate these people have to live this way. Something has to be done. So much wealth in CA and it is like this. I pray for these people.

Didn’t have any problem finding and spending billions of dollars on the high speed rail crime. Billions!

If you want out bad enough, you can find your way out of being homeless. I have a good friend who was homeless and hooked on crack. He found a way to hitch hike all the way across the country and ended up in Florida homeless. He joined a support group out there that got him off the drugs. He found a person to give him a roof over his head while he found a job working at KFC. He started taking computer classes and got a certificate in networking. He worked for a small tech company there making decent money and found his own place to rent. He finally decided to fly back to San Francisco. He got a job as the IT manager for a school. Reunited with his ex-gf. Now they're married, with kids and living in a nice house.

In America? Our leaders, the politicians should be ashamed!

We need to give Our People here FIRST! After Everyone has a place to live, and food to eat, and medical issues seen to THEN GIVE AND TO OTHER COUNTRIES! If we did that for a few years it would solve the trouble!

And they are still democrats.

Look cant feel sorry for homeless. I was homeless for 2 mo. because of a trailer fire. Wife we to live at daughters and i worked out of the back of my truck that had a topper and a 6 ft.bed and mattress. 2 mo i got up went to work after i went to a mission to shower at 5 eat there at 6 back to truck by 9. After saving $1600 i went to get my wife and a place to live. NO ONE HELPED ME I PULLED MY SELF UP AND OUT. 8 years later i have a house and its payed off. NEVER HOMELESS AGAIN (Thank you Jesus) Amen !!

All these empty homes and apartment buildings but we still have homeless.

If there is no homes for the people, then what about a hostel ship instead? which could hold 1000 people on each ship and no ground rates for charity's ether.

Realtors are to blame for homelessness. Speculating should be against the law and realtors should have to have degrees with ethics laws. They should not be able to sell homes to investors instead of homebuyers and should not be able to set rents or home values.

My brother did 23 years in the UK navy. In the 80s, unemployment was around 10% then, when I was unemployed he said the same thing, there are jobs there if you want to take. When he left the navy he was unemployed for over 2 years.....get a job ? How about you give me yours and you go find another job, its easy !

I heard that about 5% or so are mentally ill or addicted, i didnt see any in this video, i think it was 5%. It may have been higher like maybe. Oh. Say. 6 %. Or maybe. 80%. Hmm didnt see any here. Strange.

I was homeless once for 3 weeks. Then I got a pay check & that was that. Try getting a dam job. The world does not owe you your next dope fix.
