In 1988 John Brindley, who worked for the Cadbury Factory on the Wispa plant organised a 24 hour bowls marathon for Children in Need.
Here John tells us the story of how this came about and about his subsequent visit to Pebble Mill where he met Toyah Wilcox and Mike Reid.
