As a psych major; if you are mad at your partner you should communicate with them, not give them the silent treatment and hope they come to you to resolve it. It’s toxic. Silence can be good but you need to say “I’m mad and I don’t want to talk to you”. You’ve got a good one because many people just leave (as they should) when a partner uses toxic communication styles to get their way

Okay but we can tell they're a happy couple and they didn't come online and share about their relationship so openly with us for you to tell them it's toxic. Different things work for different people and they're a very educated couple, I'm sure they don't need your input on how they should deal with their relationship. -ik this was months ago but still.

I don't think she's trying to be "toxic." I mean some people just need time to cool down. Silent treatment is MUCH better than someone who attacks or starts screaming at their partner to get mad. I'd rather have someone who is silent mad but later resolves the problems (which obviously they do bc they are a healthy happy couple). Imagine having a partner who just goes crazy and starts screaming every time they are upset about something? And not everyone can just communicate right away after they are mad. Most people (esp. men) need time to cool down but in this relationships it just happens to be her.

Once I visited 47 surgery patients in 3 different buildings which one had 10 floors and I had extra patients in half of them, at a sunday afternoon. I had to report back the condition on all of them to my senior including V/S and diet, I/O chart, recent labs, current prescriptions, photos from drain bags, also changing the dressings and writing notes and putting new orders... It was an absolute Hell. Also the elevator was fucked so I had to run up and down the stairs from 13PM to 23PM.
