i'm 14 years old and you inspired me to become a skin doctor and you're soooo gorgeousss Lil update: I'm alright at biology but it's still very hard. Could you maybe make a video with study tips🥺
How are we so fortunate to find a beautiful dark skinned hijabi doctor dropping free knowledge and playin trap songs in her outro!?! 😍🥰😍literally this is my kind of representation 🤎
"I want to be someone worthy of that trust". As someone who has spent decades having to use the NHS this statement tells me you'll make a great doctor. I know it will be difficult sometimes but always, always listen to what your patients are saying. Trust them in return. Keep a curious and flexible mind. Some of the worst doctors I've come across are those who rail road you, don't listen, is haughty, lacks empathy, assume their years and titles are paramount, try to conceal their lack of knowledge and are defensive when you ask for an explanation or challenge them. Also, a dog tired doctor gives everyone anxiety. So please try to look after yourself by taking as much rest as possible and having a fun filled life. I shall certainly be checking in to your channel from time to time.
I think you and Dr Vanita Rattan should do a collab video lol you're the only two Doctors on youtube who i look to for advice on hyperpigmentation for skin of colour!
Don't forget Dr Alexis! She's a board certified Dermatologist who's a black woman you should watch her! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-qjD1AP53z44.html
Hey girl, can u please do vid on how to get even skin tone and get rid of skin discoloration on the body? Thank u for being a Black girl in this domain👸🏾💓
Truly one of the only RU-vidrs my ADHD having self can watch all the way through without skipping/speeding up 😭 thank you for this and yes, would love to see all the (potential) video ideas that you mentioned! Also have to mention that I love finally having a Black Muslim (woman!!!) doctor to follow on here, as a Black Muslim pre-med! I love to see it, MashAllah and I’m wishing you all the best of luck with your living situation + new hospital placement! 😍💛
Ty Dr. Hani. I'm a 60 y/o, A.A. , female. I'm so impressed with you and your possion for poc. Because of you I started my first ever skincare routine. I still work as a nurse on the night shift. This is where my question comes in. Should I still do my night routine at night before I go to bed or should I do it in the day, when I come home and what time for the day routine? One more question what is the best way to treat dark eye circles? Love you and thank you. Be blessed
Dr.Hani, You are a life saver. I took your advice and started taking vitamin b3 for dehydrated skin, and I must say that my skin is doing wonderful! My skin has never looked this great 🤗
Thank you for such good advice, I'm currently using tretinoin, vitamin c 20% serum, a good moisturizer, 10% glycolic acid peel, and sunscreen. I alternate between tretinoin and glycolic acid peel when I do my night skin routine. Results are promising, the texture is gone, the skin is getting bright, pores have shrunk, pigmentation is fading away, skin Is tight. I'm so happy.
@Thembi mogala are you using All this at the same time or in different time please explain I'm suffering pigmentation and am using only tretioin but I see no results
@@mercymaina7335 For 3 nights I use tretinoin, 1 night is glycolic acid, and vitamin C and sunscreen are for during the day, and 3 nights I let my skin rest, I just wash it, and moisturize it. Be careful to not use actives every night, you got to protect your skin barrier.
Omgggg.. I’m totally torn between cardiology and dermatology too and I’m not even in medical school yet. Cardiology seems so cool based on my internship with the American Heart Association. And skincare Twitter has saved my skin so Derm sounds interesting. Btw..Dr. Hani you’re amazing ❤️
I brought the items from your last video last week except for the kojic acid and so far everyone has been saying I’m glowing and my skin feels SO soft and hydrated . Hopefully after a month I’ll notice the hyperpigmentation results
@jasmeana I purchased all of the items two weeks ago except for the kojic acid because I couldn't find it. I have been loving the routine and my skin feels amazing. Thank you Dr. Hani
Clicked this immediately after seeing your hyperpigmentation vid. One question I have is, are there any spray sunscreens that can be used post makeup to make regular reapplication easier? Can't wait for more of your content, will be sharing your videos with my girlfriends!
Advice that you didn’t ask for🤣 but I think cardiology is a really cool area to specialise in, especially since cardiac problems are so prevalent in the somali/black community. But, dermatology would help you in the future, wanting to set up a skincare company, and we need more black dermatologists, especially in the nhs. Really tough choice sis, May Allah make it easy for you🥰
Hey, could you please please do a video or reply with your recommendation on how to treat keratosis pilaris.. and ingrown hairs/ razor bumps please? What products would you recommend for that? Right now all I know to do is exfoliate and moisturize.. and I'm aware of the benefits of salicylic acid, but I'm sure that would be super drying over the long term. And I also want to express that I'd appreciate a video on treatment and products for hyperpigmentation on the body as well! LOVING your videos! Much needed content! I really appreciate what you're doing!
Dr. Hani, thanks for the follow-up and congrats to your new hospital job. Everything will fall in place you are on your way to becoming the best you ever!
Please share with us your make-up routine (ie. The brand, colors, etc of your foundation, concealer, lip stick, mascara...everything), PLEASE!!! Thanks & congratulations on your new career!
I love seeing you glow when you talk about your profession. I'm the medical field as well and I can definitely tell how passionate you are about work. I hope you keep that joy as long as possible :)
Content is unbelievable. I pray for skin care brand to work out. The headscarf matching the curtain though jheeez 💫 I fully expect different window outfits weekly now lol 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
Dr hani, please please talk about Melasema since this is a major issue in woman of East African mainly Eritrean, Somali , and Ethiopian. I am willing to participate in the routine and update my improvement.
Life would be kinda boring without haters I think. I'd like to say don't pay that much attention to people second-guessing your medical credentials but then again you setting them straight in this video with that heavenly-sent smile (My God you're beautiful Maa Shaa Allah), was really satisfying. So just keep doing you 😊
I purchased everything you recommended sans the Kojic acid! I suffer from acne breakouts on the chin which is definitely hormonal so I’ve been taking HUM nutrition vitamins to help with this. I also stopped consuming diary as well. So far no breakouts! Just these dark marks are left😞 I can’t wait to see the results with adding this skincare routine.
Just purchased everything you recommended except the kojic acid (let us know when you have a recommendation...in the USA) , beginning my journey this week !!!
I bought my products last week and found a kojic acid serum by La Roche-Posay at target, it's also at Walgreens. It's Mela-D pigment control concentrated serum if you're still looking. All the best on your clear skin journey love!
Rama Ganesan dr V because she is a formulator and doctor, her standard is very high plus she doesn’t like chemical sunscreen, physical sunscreen leave white caste, she doesn’t understand how we brown skin struggle,as far as am concern she is a white poc
Working in a hospital as well I have so much respect for newly qualified doctors, they are so down to earth and a breeze to work with ! So keep doing what your doing ! I love seeing young ethnic doctors as well !
maybe book a room in your hospital on your day off and film! or even your building (if ur living in one) common room!! cant wait for more content hani!
I like that you are creating a relatable profile of yourself and not just focusing on your core content. It really recreates the negative stereotypes attached to doctors. Thanks😊
I found the sunscreen stick she mentioned. Its made by Banila Co is called "Hello Sunny Essence stick" SPF is 50 and is priced between $22 to $24 in the United States. Just google it to try to find somewhere you can get it.
I think most commonly the body areas that people would want to lighten are: knees armpits elbows inner thigh buttocks. Can you address these in the video please thanks
@sheila The main reason we have dark armpits is because of the aluminum in deodorant. It thickens the skin and makes it darker. I switched to an aluminum free deodorant (Native) and I noticed a difference after 3-4 few weeks. I'd say it took 3-6ish months for my armpits to revert to my natural skin tone.
I bought literally everything you mentioned (ingredient wise) 3 days ago and im starting your specific routine today, Ill let you know how it goes on a monthly basis. Started last night.
So far its day 2. N my t zone is super oily. To be fair i have very dry skin with oily cracked skin t zone. I haven't bought the niaciminide or watever its called bc i didnt know about the am routine til now. But im going to buy one. I broke out in 3 pimples but otherwise im fine. Ill keep u updated in say sept 10th. Its aug 18th.
@@reneejarrett2674 I started two weeks ago and so far I am loving the routine. I do wait a minute or two before putting on each active so they have time to absorb.
The sunscreen is Banilla Co Hello Sunny spf 50+ sunscreen it is; Broad spectrum (UVA and UVB) Paraben,Sulfate, alcohol free It is non greasy Light weight But it is a mixture of physical and chemical ingredients (Titanium Dioxide and Octocrylene)
Hani, just found your RU-vid, n u’re now my life!!! I’ve been using hydroquine for almost a month now. I’m going to stop today today. I have really bad PIH from hard waxing my face. I’m going to use ur routine, but I also want to know if there’s anything else I could be looking at to treat hyperpigmentation from waxing. Thanks a lot!!! I needed u. My black skin needed u!! In tears!! 🤧🤧🤧🤧🤧🤧👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
Congratulations on your new skin care line! I can't wait to support 🙌🏾. I have sensitive skin with hyperpigmentation 2 shades darker than my complexion😔. I am sooo glad I found you. I have purchased all suggested products and eager to explore. You mentioned vaseline for a occlusive. What is a good moisturizer and face cleaner? I too work in the medical field so I'm in a mask Allll day wearing only eyeliner and mascara. Thanks for sharing and shedding much needed light on this annoying embarrassing issue. KeepRising🤗
I found this on the Barilla website. It does not provide the ingredients though. Description: The Hello Sunny Essence Sun Stick is the perfect sun protection whether it's sunny or cloudy outside. It comes in a slim and sleek twist stick that easily fits inside your bag or pocket. It contains SPF50+ PA++++ to ensure that your skin is protected from strong UV rays. It provides a velvety smooth finish that mattifies the skin. The Hello Sunny collection is a sun care line that doesn't just prevent sun damage. It also relieves stress and provides hydration while giving the skin a healthy glow because of its birch tree and spirulina extracts. [Types] Moist - For Dry Skin Fresh - For Oily Skin Glow - Wanting Dewy Skin Directions: Use it at the end of the skin care step. Turn the bottom of the container and raise the appropriate amount of the contents. (The first propeller dial system in Korea) Apply evenly on the face and neck, which are exposed to ultraviolet rays
Thank you for updating us. We need you. I am selfish I NEED U. I don't know much about Kickstarter or crowd sourcing to start ur biz. I am praying for the success of that. Stay Blessed & Inspired
Please become a dermatologist! I’ve had eczema for 15 years and I’ve NEVER seen a POC dermatologist. I would really love to have a dermatologist with the same skin tone as me.
I’m a truck driver over the road. 36 years old. Driving for 11 years. I’ve just started my skincare routine. I’m pushing sunscreen on everyone! I love Black Girl Sunscreen. Got it from target. It broad spectrum 30. It doesn’t leave a white cast on my skin either.
Have you found a kojic acid you’d recommend as yet? if not, do you think the routine would work just as well without a kojic acid serum? in reference to previous video
In her last video, she stated that she no longer does the routine with the kojic acid because it was too irritating for her skin. I'm going to start the complete routine minus the kojic acid and the final Vaseline product. I'm currently working on a morning routine with The Ordinary before I incorporate the night routine.
You could try the PCA Skin Pigment Bar that has Kogic acid in it. It's a bit pricey, but it lasts for ages and really helps with hyperpigmentation and it isn't irritating to the skin at all (my skin).
Dr. Hani, can you make a video about skin tags; causes and removal methods? Be really interesting to hear your perspective. Thanks for being so informative!
Wow.....👌 So nice to see skin of colour doctor... Thanks for being there for us🙏... Could u please do avideo on sunscreens... Powder and mineral sunscreen🙏.. The sun is so harsh for us in Australia
Dr. Hani, could you make this more condensed? Give us an exact list of products and a morning/night routine? I'm having a hard time figuring out the exact frequency of each product...thanks a bunch. supporting you all the way!
Yay you’re back! Would you consider advising on hyper-pigmented scars on face AND body? That’s aren’t acne? I have old scars that are way darker than my skin. Thanks! So refreshing to watch you btw, you don’t talk too much 😂
Hey! Could you give advice on actual acne pleaaaseee! I went to a private dermatologist for a disgusting amount of money and I still don’t know if I trust what’s been given to me. I’d love to hear your advice on this ❤️❤️ So happy to have trust worthy woman of colour on the internet ❤️❤️
I feel you on the quality of life being impaired. I’m a travel nurse paying to further my education and sometimes I have to cut down when I’m renting during my travel assignments. Can be a little depressing but I remind myself it’s temporary, as with everything in life.
Thank you for creating yet another informative and interesting video! You should trust yourself because you are so intelligent MashaAllah! I think that every word that comes out of my mouth is incorrect at work and I wouldn’t recommend having this mindset! I hope that Allah blesses you with the opportunity to buy a lovely place because you deserve it! I get the impression that you will have a wonderful career ahead of you inshaAllah and I wish you well!
Yes sis!!!!!! I love your videos. Ive implemented the night time routine and am seeing some results!! Thank you so much. Now patiently awaiting the morning routine! 😊
I honestly loved listening to you talk about your life 🤷🏾♀️ sometimes it’s just nice to go into cruise control and look at life from someone else’s lenses lol
