This is making me wonder…. I kept saying that I will do the Camino when I retire (in 6 years) but now this put things in perspective….. maybe I should do it now while I can!!. ❤ happy you got to do this with your dad’s ashes! Your camino’s video was a treat to watch! 😘 from Canada!

I am 62 and have walked 2 Caminos for a total of 1,700 kms. I encourage you to go as soon as you can. Just book the flight and the time. You will not regret it. Buen Camino.

@anykterio2244 , if you have the meens and the opportunity to do it now, i would recommend you do it. I'm about 9 years away from my retirement, i always said the same "when i retire" BUT, the last 2 years so much has happened, my world turned upside down so i decided to go now..."now" will be next spring...i'm starting my camino in Ostend, Belgium on the 16th of march. Buen camino whenever you go 🙂

I did huge amounts in my 20's and did all the hiking, cycling, travelling, meeting people etc. It was great being away from stress and responsibility. But, I was in Rio de Janeiro at the start of a trip, started looking around, and thought "I am absolutely sick of this. I am sick of the buses, the hostels, the crowds, the food, and how everything and everybody is transient". That was the start of my decision to begin my career, I've stuck to it ever since, and I have no desire to travel like that again. Basically, I burned myself out.
