The first time I went to a psychologist he told me (basically) my fxcked up mental health and the way I act/do things was linked to my childhood assault and I used that (unknowingly) as a cover to protect myself and I gave him one dirty look then left and never went back. Now, somehow, I think I need to go back. Thank you Eva. ❤

To be honest, I have suffered from anxiety and panic attacks, almost a year back now when I was 17. And I didn't take any medications for that. At time was the toughest time in my life, I was not the person I used to be. At that time, I was automatically driven to spirituality and it helped a lot, it was balancing me and healing me and it also comes with a lot of self work. I used to spend my whole day to keep myself calm and trying hard to build my confidence again. And finally one day, I felt that I am healed now that day was a blessing from God. The healing process is different for everyone bit we have to do it ourselves. You will get this,Eva!💫

I 100% relate to the shame you've felt. With poor mental health it often feels like I can never do enough or that I'll never reach my goals or that my life is spiraling out of my control, but when I try to focus and the here and now and the things that I do have control over, things become a little more manageable. I really appreciate you being open about how you've been feeling, it makes me feel so seen and less alone. I'm so excited for you and all this new chapter holds. Thanks for opening up about this! I recently got pre-diagnosed with ADHD (through therapist so no formal diagnosis yet… procrastinating 😅) in my mid-30s, so definitely don’t think you’re late to the discovery. Learning the diagnosis was a relief and explanation for so many things I struggled with like you. Definitely get the overwhelmed so procrastinate then feel shame cycle. I was so motivated at first to learn all about ADHD and bought a bunch of books, but in classic ADHD form, it just became a shopping spree with little follow through. I’m learning to forgive myself and trying to take things one thing at a time. Definitely I won’t immediately learn to cope and have better routines, and it’s a battle everyday. Hoping that after a while, some of the routines will be second nature or less hard. But you are not alone. Hearing you talk about it helped me remember I’m not alone either. I don’t know much about OCD, but you got this. One step at a time ☺️

I was diagnosed with ADHD at a young age and it’s a struggle. People thought I was weird like “why is she like that?” People think you are retarded and something is wrong with you because you have a IEP in school when it’s nothing to do with that your just unique and need extra help. You also just have a problem focusing. If anyone who is reading this that has ADHD know you are beautiful. Don’t let anyone tell you different. Your amazing and ignore those hatters! It was brave of you to attempt to do everything on your own, but we all have to start from the beginning. You did a lot on your own, and you even learned a lot from the stuff you didn't succeed with. There will always be the right tool for the right job. Experience comes from lot of trial and error. The only mistake you made was being in a rush. Fixing up a home is continuous project that goes on for years. Take your time, and focus on one project at a time. YOU WILL GET THERE!

It's okay Eva, i love you. I love you so much and u inspire me so much with this whole video and your previous ones. You are so damn strong like so strong and i take in everything i can from your videos. The weight of reality can be heavy somedays. I'm proud of you to carry it everyday. Even if you don't carry it well some days, you still don't let go of it. And that's commendable. I'm struggling with my mental health too and I'm in a really bad place where I'm just numb. But videos like these make me feel something again. Im even having a hard time writing this comment right now because i struggle with expressing myself so much😅 but i still want to write this and let you know that let life be. Go in the trenches and stay there proudly ok? Don't put so much pressure yourself so much (easier said than done i know) and you are not a mess, you are a beautiful beautiful soul and you helped me today and now i feel good and i feel like going on a walk now. All thanks to you really. I would really love if you keep making such videos (only if you feel like it and only if you feel healthy enough to do so). We will get through it i hope.

I’ve had so many snotty cry sessions, but afterwards I feel an calming release. I am on meds. But I take things one minute, one hour, one day at a time. I have to tell myself that if I don’t get things done it’s ok. I can try again the next day. You’ve got this. I’ve got this. We’ve all got this. I appreciate your honesty. Thank you so much.😊❤

I loved watching this Eva! Your experience finding out about your OCD is so relatable… I didn’t think my compulsive thinking was a disorder, I just blamed myself.

same! I just thought that was me and never really understood it about myself. But it was definitely affecting my relationships and life so im glad I pinpointed it, even if I wont take medication for it, I can be more mindful :)

I found out I have inattentive ADHD by accident when I was 35(this year). i was going for therapy depression and anxiety after I was diagnosed with cancer. After I finished my 1st year of cancer treatment I started doing my master’s and kept going for therapy. In the last year I shared with my therapist that even though I finished my treatment completely I still can’t concentrate and some other issues. She suggested to do the test and I found out I have it. The weird part is after I heard the symptoms I realized I always had them since my childhood but in mild symptoms and my trauma increased it. Now I understood why it was always difficult for me to concentrate in the class, why I can’t memorize things easily, and why I cannot focus on my surroundings. I actually thought I was procrastinating. Now I realized I am not stupid or not as good as my piers. However, the funniest thing that I did the test last year and I was told I have it but for a reason I don’t remember it and I didn’t go back until this year I went with suspicious of OCD and I found out I have both 😂😂😂😂

Connected to every point you made in this video. I’m at my worst right now, I know there’s a light at the end of the tunnel but it’s just too dark to see. Thank you for talking about your mental health, made feel less alone.

You will get through this! I feel very similar but for me, I had to get to a low point to realize it's time to pull myself up. We don't know how great times can be if we dont also experience the hard times ❤

*I describe mental health to like a car. You need to maintain it, take care of it + maintenance needs to be done regularly. If you don’t, your car will start causing much more issues. Then your “check engine” light will come on - we need to normalize therapy more + encourage others to keep up their maintenance (self care) before their check engine light comes on and you are dealing with many more issues all at once.* if any of that makes sense. 💕

Hello Eva thank u for this video I have ocd and was diagnosed with ocd this year , I’m 17 years old , and when I was much much younger I always felt shame from my thoughts , it’s so so hard to understand or grasp that ppl do not think compulsively, and that it’s not the norm. I also have adhd aswell and I haven’t felt as much shame talking about my adhd as I do with my ocd , I feel like it comes from stigma and misrepresentation of ocd, I always have this obsessive fear that ppl won’t understand me , when I open up to them about my ocd . Anyways again thank u for this video❤
