Thank you for your concern and your input but as you have probably guessed, we have watched the show (haha, yes, we have), and we know they are step siblings. Yes we do. Before going further into this, let me ask you something : why are you watching this if you are not interested in exploring Casey and Derek's relationship like lovers? You must like the TV show, I'm sure of that or you will not be here, and I guess you like them in the sibling's way, and you know, it's totally fine with me. Yep. And I encourage you (if you want) to watch my videos that are not about Casey and Derek as love interests. I make those too. Yes. Like my Lizzie and Edwin videos, which are about their friendship, my beloved Marti's video, and those two that I have made about the whole family. I have other works about LWD than Casey and Derek. So, I encourage you to focus on these, it will definitely make you feel more like you are on your path.But, since you are explaining things to me in a very kind way, I can't not answer you about Casey and Derek's relationship. Yes, they became a family when their parents got married, but they were fifteen and it's really difficult to see someone as "blood but without blood connection" when you are this age. You can't just wake up one morning and decided that because your dad/mom is getting married, their kids will be your siblings. Maybe you can, or maybe not. In their case, we (dasey shippers) are choosing the "you can't" option. It's a choice we have made.Also, two things : first, family doesn't necessarily mean platonic things. When someone got married to someone, this person, husband, wife, becomes family, in a totally not platonic way, but it's still what we are calling family. Second, when two best friends forever get married after a whole life of friendship, everybody says it's the most romantic thing ever (don't tell me it's not, there is so many videos on youtube with best friends forever who are getting married to each other and everybody is crying and saying it's so beautiful to see) and why no one considers it disturbing? They grew up together! And they were probably spending all their time at each other house, and their family as probably always thought of them as a sort of addition to their own family like another kid, and they were not thinking when the kids were 5, or even 15 that they had found their life partner. So, my point is you can grow up with someone that you have no blood relation with and have family feelings for this person and still, you can marry this person. For me, it makes sense. If it doesn't for you, it's totally fine, obviously. Everybody sees the world in their own way. :)
